I have a Black boyfriend. I never thought I would do this to my family. Can someone help me?

I never thought I would do something like this, but all the pressure put on white girls these days. Anyhow, he won't work and I always have to give him money. He says he would quit wearing baggy pants, but he hasn't. When I'm at work he's riding around with other girls and I think he uses drugs. He has threatened I can't leave. I know another girl he hurt in the same situation. I'm telling you white girls don't ever get involved with them because you'll regret it. Should I go to the police if he threatens me?

First of all, this situation has NOTHING to do with bieng black or white, or any race for that matter. It has to do with that person specifically: he is a user and an overall jerk that you don't want to date. He could be white, hispanic, italian, whatever it doesn't matter. You can't generalize an entire race by 1 person.

You need to get out of that relationships now before it gets really bad. Face the fact that you probably will never see that money again but count your blessings that he hasn't done anything worse. If you are afraid to leave, go to the police and talk to loved ones you trust. The longer you stay, the harder it will be to leave.

What "pressure" are you talking about exactly that's being put on white girls? I'm a white woman and I've never dated a black man. I even went to a high school that was literally 97% African American (BTW, I'm not racist, it's just my preference. If I were rasict, I wouldn't have gone to that school, now would I?).

I think you should get off the computer and play some video games or go outside. Don't you have some chores you should be doing right now?

First you file for a restraining order and leave him.
Second, you stop dating people on the basis of whether or not your family will hate him b/c if you are honest with yourself that is exactly what you did. You didn't date a black guy you dated a guy you knew your family would hate and was the wrong color (for your family"values") to boot.
Third your stop being prejudice about dating based on looks.
All said he is just a lousy guy and that has nothing to do with color. Lazy men are part of every culture. Don't promote prejudice just because you can't tell a good guy from a hole in wall.

Fist of all not all black men are abusive, lazy creeps. You could find the same pathetic excuse for a boyfriend in any color. Get out but first get a restraining order if you truly feel in danger. If you have strong enough self esteem you wouldn't tolerate this kind of bull**** from any man regardless of race. I'm also a young white female, in a relationship with a black male. He's the best thing that has ever happened to me. I do feel for you though. my family hated the idea at first until they began to look past color and love the person inside. your boyfriend is a bad person,but it's not because he's black that makes him that way. you need to go to the police or confide in your family if you feel you can't get out. no one should stay in a relationship like yours.
