Well usually I'm pretty good with hair colours but my hair is currently a variety of colours haha. Some of it is like platinum blonde, and some is yellow, the underneath is brown [but I'm cool with that] and in between there's some ginger [I'm fine with that too].
Thing is, I coloured it like a month or so ago for it to get like this, and I thought I'd leave it a while before doing anything to get rid of any of the brown or ginger or yellow. I'm not really bothered about the first two but on the top layer of my hair there is quite a bit of yellow and I was just wondering, is it too late to use an ash blonde toner to counteract it? Or would I have to rebleach it and then apply toner? I can't see that the length of time I've left it would make a difference and I'm hoping it doesn't but I was just wondering if anyone knows whether it does actually make a difference.
Hopefully this all makes sense.
Cheers for reading.

I've used the clairol born blonde silver one before and it worked but I can't remember if it was because my hair was yellow... would this work? Would it get rid of the yellow? I know I'd have to keep using it in order to keep the yellow at bay but would it in the first place?

You Could Use CLAIROL® BORN BLONDE Toner Anytime You Want. HOWEVER, Silver Would Not Be A Good Choice Because It Has A BLUE BASE And As You Know, BLUE + YELLOW = GREEN. Instead Try #367 FRESH FROST® Which Is A Light COOL Blonde With A Violet/Purple Base It Is Especially Made To "Neutralize" Yellow Tones On Frosted Hair As It Used To Be The Toner In Clairol's Frost & Tip Kit. Good Luck! (P.S. As It Does Not Contain Ammonia Or Peroxide It Will NOT Affect Any Hair That Is NOT Bleached Or Is Deeper In Shade Than The Toner)

firstly once hair is damaged then it is damaged, it is not alive like our skin or our bodies and therefore CANNOT and DOESN'T "heal" "get better" or "re-cooperate" you can only MASK damage with treatments but underneath the proteins making your hair APPEAR healthier then it is still damaged (until new hair grows through of course) so basically there is no "waiting period" as some people (non-professionals) may tell you, it won't make any difference to the condition of your hair whether you apply more bleach/colour today or next month, the only difference will be that you will also then have slight roots to contend with. secondly Born blonde toner in silver is formulated for use on PALE yellow hair ONLY and they do tell you that on the swatch inside the box, it isn't meant for yellow/ginger/brown hair!!! and thirdly if you wish to get your hair an all-over even colour then you WILL need to bleach and THEN tone. if you just add an ash colour now then it will "muddy" the brown, tone the orange/ginger to blonde and turn the yellow to green! what you need to do is to CAREFULLY bleach the brown areas first, leave until it is at the orange/ginger stage and then apply some to the orange/ginger parts until ALL your hair is yellow whereupon you will rinse off the bleach because by then it will of stopped lifting anyway (bleach has a lifespan of 90 mins once opened and mixed) and then you should do a bleach wash (a 50/50 mix of bleach and shampoo applied to DAMP hair for 10 mins) - by now your whole head of hair should be pale yellow (bar the platinum areas of course) once rinsed you can then apply a platinum toner- just remember to leave the already platinum areas alone because they will snap off if touched with ANY kind of chemical hence why i will reccommend Smart blonde toner in platinum as it contains no chemicals and is formulated for use on hair bleached to the pale yellow stage: http://www.smartbeautyshop.com/acatalog/Smart_Blonde.html

I just went through a similar situation,I let my hair grow awhile and my roots were showing bad and dark, last time I bleached my hair I didn't leave it on long enough and ended up a horrid brassy color and put a toner over that it helped but I didn't like it..... lastnite I re bleached starting with just my roots, after they were light enough I put the bleach on the rest of my hair and bleached it to a very light blonde (almost the color of masking tape,I left it on a total of 90 minutes) I had great results and solid color hair, not brassy, orange or gold .... I then added a toner/color on top and my hair looks fantastic .... I used these products (Born Blonde Original to bleach it out) and (Revlon ColorSilk 7G Golden Blonde to put color back on)
Good Luck with your hair ........

Depends on how much of your root is showing... If you can't really see too much of your roots you should be ok. Just be careful, cuz if you don't use an ash colour right, it can give a funky shade to your hair(and not funky in a good way).
Hope this helps!

for me it depends on the girl. Like I might observe a girl with black hair and also think she is totally hot yet see a girl with blond hair that is meh and vice versa.
