None of us really want to see liberals cast into the eternal lake of fire and brimstones. We want all folks to follow Jesus to heaven. How can we convert non-believers before it's too late?

One idea is to improve our public school system. If we required schools to devote 1 hour each day, to biblical studies and prayer, then we'd be a lot better off. Anyone else got any suggestions?

Serious answers only please. Thanks!

There is nothing a christian can do to convert anyone. We can share the LOVE of GOD with them and GOD does the converting.

But is a noble goal to reach the lost and share with them how to be saved.

The only thing you can do it witness. That's what Jesus calls us to do. Witnessing means give the testimony of how God has changed your life, what you've seen and experienced.

I don't know what country you live in, but there is no way in the US that public schools are going to devote 1 hour to biblical studies, etc. What's more, I'd be one of the people protesting if legislation were passed to require religion in schools. You see, I believe the constitution is correct when it says there should be no declared religion. And while I have no problem with school courses in comparative religion or religion as a part of social studies, my understanding of what you want is a time when the class would get together and pray and read the Bible. I'm dead set against that since I am whole-heartedly in favor of the right of atheists not to have to subject themselves to matters that assume there is a God and I would not want some teacher who might be an atheist or agnostic teaching about the Christian faith.

The thing to do is to love the people you come in contact with, show them the truth, help them in times of trouble, turn your cheek if they are bad to you, etc. etc.

Dear Fart: What can you do to convert atheists? DON'T PREACH TO THEM. Walk your talk. Let your own words mirror Jesus words. DON'T QUOTE MEGA LOADS OF SCRIPTURE. A little scripture now and then to back something up is fine, however, I am a Christian and I get embarrassed for all of us when people copy and paste mass amounts of scripture. People want to hear what is on YOUR mind. They don't believe the bible anyway so what good is it to give them scripture. I believe atheists would have more respect for us if we just be ourself instead of the alternative of preaching & quoting.

Public school system: I am a christian and I would have loved biblical studies & prayer, however, IT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA because not all people want their children reading out of our bible and praying to our God. If the government put this into place it would be like a communist country where people can't worship or not worship the way they want to. No, we would not be better off. That is what private christian schools are for.

Prayer is the answer. Pray for you own family - community - region - country daily. Don't tell God what to do. Just invoke God's presence into every situation. God's ways are not our ways.

It's not our job to convert. It's the Holy Spirit's job to do so. God is the first - last and only true Judge.

Just be a model Christian and others will want some of what you have.

Two things I can think of: Don't lump all liberals in as automatically going to hell. Plenty of them are followers of Chirst too, even they have different opinions from you. They want to get to Heaven just as much. Also, (assuming you are American here, apologies if that's not the case) research our form of government and realize that there is a (necessary) separation between church and state. Biblical studies do not have to occur in our schools, a good Christian family will do it anyway right? As a brother in Christ, just let me say that you should stay positive, don't get trapped in that "hellfire and brimstone" mentality. God's will is always working.

Stop worrying about those who don't believe and focus on yourself. I am christian but I am not stupid enough to think that there are people who can be swayed by some advice on YA. Honeslty if you are a christian that is the most unlike christian to do. Accept others for who and what they are, you aren't any better than the atheist next door. And when and if judgment day does come you can be sure who is Atheisit and Christian won't exaclty come into to play. You can belive in what you want becuase what makes a world a good place is the actions in it, not the beliefs people go by. A christian can kill a person, does that make him an atheist? No its just makes them a crazy sociopath Atheists are people with their own beleifs and unless you yourself are god leave them alone an practice what you preach.

Nothing. Because that's not our job. Our job as Christians is to plant the seeds (share the Gospel) and let God reap the harvest. Forcing it on people isn't going to get through to them any better than throwing rocks, and will drive them further away rather than draw them close. Many atheists have heard the Gospel and choose to reject it. That's their choice. Jesus said many things about this, including when He sent the disciples out to the towns to share the Gospel, He said that if they reject the message, to leave and dust off your feet from that town. Same thing applies. All we can do is tell them, and then it's up to them.

Best thing I can say is to live what we profess. We are called to be the salt of the earth...so I do my best to teach my own kids how to live and they model that at school. I pray with them before school and then send them out to be little lights in a dark world. Its like I said a moment ago...one plants..one waters, but God gives the increase.

We may not be able to turn this whole world around. The Bible says we are not going in that direction. This world is going to end in a battle. But you and I can plant...we can plant seeds and then pray God gives the increase.

Even if its just a "Jesus loves you" or a hug...just live what you believe and speak of how much God has shown up in your life. Christians think they have to be perfect in other people's eyes but the strongest testimony is when you can say.."I used to be that sinner...lost..and God reached down and lifted me up..and what He did for me, He can do for you too."

We are very near the end. It's not going to get better and Christianity will continue to be sullied and cast to the side.

I come here almost daily to answer serious questions about faith. And I do pray. The rest is up to God.

If He moves your heart to do something then do it. Otherwise you must do as Jesus directed His disciples – if a town rejects you, brush the dust off your sandals and move on.

VERY Large,
I am a former educator and I personally would NOT want to fight the lawyers over such a ridiculous task. Our schools are required to do so many tasks that the parents are unwilling to do now that we can never do such a thing. I suggest that we, as Christians work ONLY with those we personally know and educate the ones who will listen to us. Begin there at our homes and our friend's homes teaching as CHRIST told us to do in Matthew 28:18-21. From there we can move on to teach in their homes and their friend's homes if they are converted to CHRIST. This is exactly what the First Century Christians did in ACTS. We have a number of Christians who believe it is the job of someone else to do this for them... IT is NOT!! Have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks,
Eds

Hallo! Someones faith is personal thing, if you try to make someone believe by force, you will do nothing. If there is God, I'm sure that He know and "feel" who are his true believers. So don't try to force anyone, you will do just oposite of what Jesus was doing. He said that God is good and he will forgive. Church and power people like to frighten poor believers with hell and punishment, so they can keep them in their control. But that have nothing with true fait, because only faith that is matter to God is the one in your heart and spirit. Calm yourself, and don't be too paranoid about others, they have to find ways for themselves. As I said, no force will help them really. Being paranoid can be problem for you if it grows. I say this from my mom's experience, she finished in mental institution because of Christianity and paranoid behavior, she was thinking that all people around her were satanists and witches, but with medication they all disapear...
So take care of your self, and stop mixing politics with religion. They need to be separated.
Good luck!
