Why would we be offended when someone tells us a friendly greeting? I think that is a very nice gesture.
EDIT: Oooooh, in reading some other answers, I get it. Because some non-believers get offended if someone tells them "God bless"? Well if they have to be so petty about a friendly greeting, then clearly they have the problem. As a Christian, I don't believe in 'luck' per se, but I still accept everyone's friendly greetings as that -- a friendly greeting. So I don't take offense to friendly greetings. But just to be P.C....
