both bruce & jet hav incredible skill in martial arts. i dont think any 1 could say who would win. in a 1 off fight any1 could win you would hav 2 hav a best of 5. bruce is a legend but dont knock jet li he's not just a movie star, jet is a master martial artist he has trained in wu shu 4 ova 35 yrs.

Jet Li is the over all more skillful martial artist.

Jet Li at age 19 was the Wu Shu champion of all of China.

When Bruce Lee returned to Hong Kong to make movies there; director Run Run Shaw thought he was just another actor and nothing special.

even though im skeptical of how good bruce lee was(hes not super human like some people make him out to be, the only reason im skeptical is because i have a show me attitude and since theres not records and almost no video of him sparring i cant accurately gauge his ability), he did believe in heavy conidioning, full contact sparring, and cross training.

jet li on the other hand is dare i say without getting a mob after me, a performer im not saying what he does doesnt take skill hes an amazing athlete. but he is a (forms/performance) wushu champion not a sparring/full contact champion so his actual skills for a fight probably isnt up with people who actual train to fight.

so i'd go with bruce lee on that one. film and real life. bruce lee never really gets beat in his movies(expect against chuck norris lol) so i dont see why he would in a film if somehow he and jet li were in it. and in real life he'd win for the reasons i said earlier

Bruce Lee.

He conditioned himself to be the best martial artist he could possibly be. He never stopped learning his craft (martial arts and acting), and devised many of the techniques considered "classics", today, in many dojos (martial arts training centers) and by martial arts film directors.

Jet Li is just an actor who happens to know martial arts, the same way that Chinese acrobats do. True, many modern martial arts films mimic his style, but Bruce paved the way for actors, like Jet.

I'm not dissing Li, who I happen to like on screen; I'm just saying that, in a fair fight, Lee would beat Li (good thing this isn't an "audio" answer!). ;)

I would go with Bruce Lee because of the system that he built around his understanding of which moves were most important and also how he brought in other fighting systems (such as fencing and boxing) to take what was best from them to create his style.

Bruce was best. Jet was just a replacement.

bruce lee
hands down, they had to slow down some of the filming they had done to then put it in a movie, because he was too fast
