Neither scenario has happened to me, that I know of. But if it came down it, I think it would hurt worse if he fell in love with somebody else. It would feel like every word he ever told me was a lie if he could just go off and "fall in love" with somebody else like that. Sex is sex. It's just animalistic. You can have sex without love.

Hmmm. Probably if they fell if love with somebody else. It means I never had her heart to begin with, and she was just waiting for something better to come along. I was just a back-up.

I would have to say both. Both would be so shattering to realize he had sex with someone else, because I am territorial when it comes to my boyfriend (I think everyone is...). And yeah. I want to know that I'm the only one who has touched my boyfriend, held him, kissed him, etc. I don't want another girl touching my guy, at all.
Also, if he fell in love, it would hurt so bad. I am not kidding. The type of relationship I am in is so serious that when I imagine the bad scenarios, it actually really makes me sick and feel like it really happened. That's how serious it is... If he fell in love, I would be really broken for a long time. It would honestly really hurt, and I wouldn't be happy for a reallllllly long time.

Both would be very hurtful. Sex because the other person abused your trust and faith. And love because then you have totally lost the other person.
If i had to choose then i would say love because if they fell in love with someone else then they are lost to you, but if they only had sex with someone else then the two of you sitll have a chance to work through your issues and try to regain the trust that was lost...

fell in love with somebody else, sex u can stay away from it. And if they have sex, it doesnt mean they stopped loving you. But if they found somebody else, you're out of the picture

Fell in love with someone else. Sex can be sex. But loving someone else is that heart involved. Sex is sex.
Be well and good luck.

I have had both of these things happen to me in one swift motion. My ex was having an affair with his ex when I caught them he told me he was in love with her. Mind you this happened after they were divorced for 20 years. We had been married 10 years at the time. Once a cheater always a cheater.

I'd have to say I'd be more heartbroken if the person I loved fell in love with someone else. Yeap, that'd be far more devastating to me.

neither would be... nothing can be devastating to the self if you have enough of your own self to love... devastation like this comes from lack of self security and love for yourself, I know this might be hard to understand but it is truth... enough of self is the answer to not having one ounce of infliction of pain from another and real love is always selfless... which means that if another does this, then its really about wanting to see them happy which in return makes you decide that they aren't for you after violating your trust but that they are happy and that's all that matters...
