PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ASK YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE YOU GO ON ANY DIETS!!!!!!!!!! your doctor will know what diet plan is right for you. but in the meantime, stay away from fast food, foods high in fat, sugar, or calories. and eat fiber. jog every day for a little at a time after school. gradually build your time.

oh, and throw out your scale.

CeCe your ideal weight will also depend on your bone structure or size so lets target 135 but lets not ingrave it in stone.
Losing weight for women is a little harder than it is for men but YOU CAN lose it.
Start first by eliminating soft drinks, fast foods, junk foods (cakes, pies, doughnuts cookies etc.)
Eat boiled or baked fish, chicken. If you eat meat make it a peice of meat no larger than your palm.
Eat vegetables and brown rice with your meals. Make sure you eat plenty of greens. When you eat don't fill yourself up till your full. You are better off eating a good portion of food and going back for more a couple hours later if your still hungry. It's better to eat 4 to 6 small meals a day than to eat 3 big meals a day. Eat fresh fruit when you need a snack. Apples, oranges, plums banana's grapes. When you eat fresh vegetables, carrots, celery brocoli, just a few peices will do you otherwise you over do it too and turn yourself off to it. If you use a vegetable dip make it a low fat dip or very little dip. As with everything the trick is to not over do it. Moderation is the whole key.
Now for excercises. Start by walking 20 minutes a day. As you feel more comfortable and energetic move it up to 30 minutes. Whatever you do don't decide you are going ot walk and hour or 2 when you first start because you will burn yourself out and quit before you know it.
If walking isn't your thing decide what is. Do the kind of exercise you think you'll like because if you like it you have a better chance to stay with it. I mentioned walking because it's a good way to start moving and it's very affective. Just make sure it's something that gets the heart rate up and lungs expanding for at least 30 minutes. Aerobics, Ty-Bo (My sister has had great results from that) Kick-Boxing. Make it fun and stick with it.
As you get into it more and as long as you don't over do it it will become like meditation to you. You'll find you are more enegetic, calmer and rest easier as well as lose weight.
The hardest part of this is changing your eating habits.
I hope you do well. Good Luck! Just Do It CeCe.

This is a simple plan that I used when I started high school and was overweight, but it takes discipline.

1. What ever size portions you normally eat, cut them in half! Or even by a third. Example - If you normally get a large double cheesburger meal at your fastfood joint, get a small single cheesburger meal, and get a water instead of a soda.

2. Don't eat at fast food resturants.

3. Choose the healthier choice if you can. (e.g. get the salad instead of the cheesburger)

4. Cut deserts to a minimum, if not out entirely.

5. Drink LOTS of water! Drink until you feel like your insides are swimming. Drink water all day long everyday. I'm talking, you should be drinking almost a gallon of water a day, especially if you are exercising. This will help you not feel as hungery, as well as keep you hydrated. Water only, no sports drinks they are full of calories.

6. No more soda! I know a lady that had her stomach stapled, meaning she can only eat like one french fry and she is full, but she drinks soda like it is water and she weighs 400+ lbs. Soda is worse for your diet than food, it doesn't fill you up, but it has tons of calories, and sugar. At least food fills you up and you'll stop eating eventually.

5. Exercise, Exercise, Exercise!!!!! The key to losing weight is to burn more calories than you take in. Getting fat works the oposite, you are eating more calories than your body is useing during the day, so it stores the extra for a rainy day. Well, it's about to storm!

6. Push through the hunger pains during the first week or so. It might feel like you are starving at first, but don't give in. Soon you stomach will shrink and you will feel satisfied with less food. The more you eat, the more your stomach expands, and the more it takes to feel full.

If you want to lose that much weight that fast, then you are gooing to have to be very aggressive with this. It may not be possible to lose it all, but you will definately notice a difference and it will be easier to continue losing weight once you get in the habbit of eating less and exercising on a daily basis.

As far as exercising, you could start walking everyday, either before school or after school, or to school. Then work up to jogging, then start jogging a little farther, and a little farther. You get the idea. Always take the harder way in everyday life, for example, don't ever get into an elevator again, use the stairs. Don't push the box, pick it up and carry it, even if you can only carry it a few feet and have to put it down, just keep doing that until you get it were you need it.

You don't need to go on some special plan or pay for some special diet, you just need self control. Don't get seconds, in fact only eat half of what you serve yourself. And start exercising on a daily basis.

Getting in shape isn't a one time diet thing, it is a lifestyle. It may be hard to adapt to at first, but once your body gets used to it, you won't ever want to go back.

Remember, use more energy than you put in!

No matter what plan you choose, remember to stick with it, and add exercise to it. You have to excercise for any diet to work.

And, I wish you the best of luck on your road to better health.
