If you want to meet her in baggage claim, just follow the signs to the "short-term parking" structure in the center of the airport. This allows you a short walk to any of the terminals. Most of the international flights come in I think terminal 4 or 5, at the far end of the airport (the bottom of the U-shape).

Another option is to locate the "cell phone waiting lot" a few blocks away from the airport. You can park there and wait for her to call you and let you know which terminal she is at, and then drive by and pick her up.

I work at LAX. When you enter the airport, it is a big circle, all traffic goes in one direction. First....Terminal 1, then T-2, T-3 and then the Tom Bradley International Terminal. That is where you will find Mexicana. She will arrive on the lower level, so do not go to the upper level, that is for departures. As you pass T-3 you will start your turn of the circle. Park on the left. All terminals are on the right and all parking is on the left. She will have to go thru customs and that take awhile. Sometimes as long as 2 hours if they are busy. So be patient. At LAX the airport is shaped like a upside down U. The int'l terminal is at the part of the U that is on the bottom. In the center of the U is parking. I don't know how much it costs now. I always had people coming in at terminal 1 (SW) so I would park in the middle by term 1. If you want to save money park at one of the companies off grounds of LAX and take their shuttle. They'll drop you off right in front of the terminal and then you can have them take you back. Most of them circle the airport continually.

Call the airlines for flight info on the actual arrival time before Customs. Check with the airlines to see if she would be subject to customs at LAX or is it done at the last stop. Then customs might be done at the Terminal(for aircraft positioning) or at Tom Bradley(recently under renovation). Passengers would be bussed to the International Terminal on a few buses that open at the front and back.

Teresa's answer is great---find the cell phone waiting lot. All arrivals are on the lower interior level have her call you and then pick her up at the baggage claim AFTER she has her bagage....
