It's fine. All profits go to the family of Goldberg, and they can edit or rename the text as they choose. Simpson is not going to profit, thanks to a court order.
The book itself is horrible. The guy lies about key facts, but seems to show no remorse or understanding for the criminal acts he committed. His obsession is almost psychopathic -- as much as he may have attempted to rewrite the story of his wife's death, it's obvious that he cared little for her.

I think the main point of this question is about Barnes & Noble selling a book. Okay, let me get this straight, you don't want a book store to sell a book because you don't like it. What comes next? Book Burning? If you want to boycott, go ahead, but they have the right to sell an OJ Book just the same as they do The Bible. It’s just a book, get over it, and get a life. Everyone wants t blame OJ. I say, blame the JURY. They are the ones who are ultimately responsible. It just goes to show you that if you have money (Martha Stewart, OJ, Bill & Hillary Clinton, Paris Hilton) you can get away with anything and write a book and have it sold in Barnes & Noble. Don't Blame the Store, Blame your own messed up rules set forth by your local government. I think that if Barnes & Noble can sell the Bible (a better example of a ghost written piece of fiction), they can be allowed to sell anything.

I haven't actually read anything about this, but I saw the cover - it now says "I DID IT" in big red letters with a tiny grey "IF" squeezed into the upper corner of the "I." It also says something like "with commentary by the Goldman family." So I'm guessing the deal was they could go ahead and publish it as pretty much an actual "confession" (as opposed to the sleazy way OJ was originally going to do it, as an exploitative "I didn't really, but if I did, here's how it happened"), and the Goldmans are getting all the money.

I'm sure the book is a miserable piece of dog crap. But book banning worries me, even if it is a junk book like this one. Barnes and Noble already pushed it when they kicked out a young woman who joked that Sen. Santorum should sign a Dan Savage book (avid opponent of Santorum's policies) at a book signing. That was enough to make me want to boycott. Bookstores should be all about freedom of speech. It is a frightening thing for bookstores to start repressing it.

"Tell all" books about the murders are inevitable. It is fitting that what OJ started as a ploy to get more money ended up going to one of the victims families.
If books were banned because they were not uplifting, our bookstores, libraries and classrooms would be pretty empty.

I don't plan on reading the book, nor do I think that he is innocent.
I do think though that it is important that the bookstore does carry the book. Books should not be banned.
Imagine the many other books that wouldn't be carried, just because a large group of people chose that they were wrong and inappropriate? That would be too much of " big brother is watching".

I don't think people realize what this book is. Ron Goldman's family is publishing it. In addition to OJ's story there is "up to 14,000 words of additional key commentary." from the Goldman family. If I read the book, that is what I'd be more interested in than OJ's "confession"

Profit. That's it.
They don't sell books to uplift society - they do it to make money and the internet sales of this piece of crap are indicating that they will be able to make money by putting it on their shelves.

This is news to me, last I heard it was not on market and if it
would be , Ron's family would receive the profits via the civil
case that went through court. Interesting
