My brother has had a problem for a few years now, where he itches (especially when he gets out the shower), internally. It doesn't matter if he scratches, because the itching is internal. He takes certain medications and they only make the itching worse. I know how he feels, because when I was pregnant, I had the same thing. The doctors he's been to, don't seem to know what's causing it. He's tried benadryl and that doesn't help either. I'd appreciate any information I can get for him. Thanks.

My brother's itching is mostly arms & legs. There's no sign of a rash or skin ailment. Like I've mentioned before, it's internal.

Itching internally? What do you mean? Does your brother take any drugs?
Certain drugs cause a sensation called 'formication' - the user feels as though ants are crawling around under his/her skin => itching.

He definitely needs to see another Dr. They don't always know the answers and won't say that, you have to see that and seek another Dr. I don't know where inside he is itching,
Go to a doctor that specializes in that area and have them check out the medications to see it they can be a problem.
