I was diagnosed w/ fructose malabsorption and have NEVER heard of it. I need some info. How does it affect you? I have pain in my side (intestinal) and some irregular bowels and also am fatigued a lot which they say could be related. Anyone have any info?? There's not a lot about it on the internet.

never diagnosed, but I fart all over the house (and experience that bowel extra-'fun') after an orange juice, or anything processed with this -- from iced tea, to sodas and juices. Milk, too.. which seems related, right down to the "- tose".

Did you input "fructose intolerance"? I found a huge number of sites with thorough information explaining the problem.
It is basically an allergy to all sugars in fruits. Apparently it is caused because of something missing to break down the fruit sugars. It can cause damage to the liver .
