I dreamt that I was first afraid of going to the deep side of teh swimming pool but then I was able to swim into that side and everyone was proud of me...
in real life, I never did that and plus, I quit swimming long ago

Deep end of the swimming pool represents stepping out in life in a place which you felt there was no firm footing or foundation to walk on (the shallow end). And, you had to do it by "faith" or take a leap of "faith". Deep end also represents the place of effort, work, and skill to stay afloat and in your dream you accoplished this and everyone to note of it.

If you're like me, it could mean that you are afraid of drowning. Even though I can swim, I don't like deep water. I don't feel secure enough with myself to take that step and swim into the deep end. The water makes me feel as though I am smothering. This is all being part of unsure of ourselves. If you're having some doubts about yourself, talk to someone who may be able to help you reassure yourself and gain back your confidence. It helps!

do it,swim,take it up again,if you never do you will never feel like completion.You need to swim in the deep end,it means if you let swimming(or something else)pass you by without a chance,you will never get over it,do it now and enjoy the rest of your life in the deep end.

It's nice straightforward dream - you might be able to suss it out yourself?.
My old book says if you swim with your head up it means success in all your undertakings. If you swam under water you might experience trouble.
