looking for a 1-3 ingredient drink, highly alcoholic in the $30-$40 range for two people to get drunk and watch zombie movies... any suggestions? Vodka preferred. My standbys are southern comfort and dr. pepper, hypnotiq and hennessey, or amaretto and cherry coke but I am getting tired of the S.O.S help!!

What about a "smartini?. It is a smoothie made with vodka and a pass of vermouth. Those sweet drinks are deceptively staggering and nothing is sweeter than a fruit smoothie.

Mojito:

8 oz glass -

add several fresh cleam mint leaves
add ~ tablespoon of sugar
add lime wedge

Use something (i.e. wooden spoon) to crush mint/sugar/lime together into a kind of a paste.

Add Ice, add rum and top off with club soda, stir.

You can doctor it up a little if you add some flavored rum, say a mango rum with the regular rum. 1/3 flavored rum to 2/3 regular rum. Flavored rum doesn't have a high alcohol content(~40 proof), therefore you if don't mix some 80 proof with it - you will never achieve zombie state.

For Vodka, I'd just have Stoli Raz and club soda or Absolute Mandrin and club soda. Easy to make, drinks like water.

I don't know about you, but after about 2 bloody mary's I've had enough of those. Bloody's fill you up to fast. Not a good drink for "drinking" in my humble opinion.

Zombie movies, I cant believe no mentioned a.......Zombie!!! a couple more ingredients than you were looking for but is HIGHLY alcoholic...
1 oz light rum
1/2 oz creme de noyaux
1/2 oz triple sec
1 1/2 oz OJ
1 1/2 oz sour mix
top with 1/2 oz 151 proof rum

You can even light the 151 on fire and have flaming zombies, but do it early in the night so you dont need a fire extinguisher

Tuaca bombers.

Get a pint glass and fill about 1/3 with Red Bull
Drop a shot glass filled with Tuaca into pint glass.
Slam.

best served if both Red Bull and Tuaca are chilled.
Best way to describe it:
Orange, Vanilla, Yummy

OR a Cherry Bomb.
I dont know the exact recipe, but it is basically Red Bull, Cherry Vodka and Cranberry juice.
YUM.

For a zombie movie...do I even need to say Bloody Mary? Just get premade mix and vodka.

But you seem to like drinks on the sweeter side so maybe shooters of chambord with midori floated on it nice mix of Green and deep red.

Edit: Doh is right, the bloodies will fill you up quick, but are tasty chasers to tequilla with a little hot sauce on top.

I just made a delicious drink with Cranberry Vodka (stoleschnia brand), Pomegranite syrup and red grapefruit juice, on the rocks in a tall glass. Fantastic!
