ok, I had a really bad dream in March. Here's what I did the day BEFORE I had the nightmare, me and my friends were at a girls birthday party and her name is brittany. Here's what happened in the nightmare, We were in her house, and her brother's room is right next door (and it really is) and there is like a bomb in the building or something and I had like flashbacks of 9/11 and stuff like that and then we were in her hallway and we were all ducking down screaming and there were explosions of bombs blowing up outside. What does this nightmare mean? No sarcastic answers please.

Dreams don't really have a meaning - You were just remembering the house and for some reason, you thought about bombs and - tada - a dream about bombs in a house.

I had a dream about running away in a helicopter last night with some of my family and am not really concerned with meaning - Dreams are just dreams.

A birthday party is a celebration. The beginning of your dream is not the nightmare.

Her brother needs to check for electrical problems, too many plugs in a socket. Is his mother constantly on him about cleaning his room.

Usually bombs are a sign of a disagreement, argument, or war. It does not mean it will be immediately around you, maybe someone of age is joining the military and will be going off to an area where there is a conflict. This person might be someone you all know personally.

It could also mean self-control with temper, someone might be a loose cannon.

It is important to remain in self-control and screaming does not help. If you have this dream again, do not scream, only observe and take notes. You will probably obtain more information.

Oh, man, I've been reading about prostitutes and serial killers and watching movies on murder and genocide lately, and I have had some of the most horrible dreams that my friends and family members were murdered, or that I was chasing down and trying to catch a serial killer. Just awful. So that demonstrates how what you've been reading and watching can show up in your dreams. The bombing thing sounds like a scene out of a movie.

Your dream sounds like what is called a "fear" dream which can be inspired be the news, media, and fears about terrorist bombings.
