What is one thing you learnt at R&S that you could not learn in the outside world?

Just how incredible some of the things people believe (or claim they believe) really are. I did not take "young earth creationism" seriously until I saw here that many people really do. Now I take it seriously as a major threat to young people that will not be prepared for a college education which involves real science and critical thinking. They will be rendered good for nothing but a Bible college. Perhaps that is the point, after all.
