By helping them get whatever they need to become self-reliant - education, access to clean water, a loan to start a business, housing, protection from abuse/exploitation, etc.

In my day to day life, I find that I can offer the most assistance if I listen and respond with empathy and compassion and treat all with respect.

By sharing the gospel with them.......which can save their life for all eternity.
That to me, is the single most important thing any Christian can do for someone else.
