Hi,

Kirlian Photography claimes that auras are real and everything has an aura.
People say that auras are expansions of spirits.

We think that a spirit is something which gives life with its unification with matter.
If we are in an egg of aura, everything which touches our aura -becomes one with it- should become alive because aura is the expansion of the life source -spirit-.
But nothing happens like that.

If we say aura which is the expansion of spirit is in everything -even in the non-living beings-, we say spirit is not the thing which makes us alive.
In this case, Kirlian Photography disproves the spirits.

If we say auras and spirits are not related, in this case we say Kirlian Photography does not prove spirits.

PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER WITH LINKS.

Thanks.

Some people which believe that auras and spirits are related, say that everything is alive because everything has an aura.
But this is cleary wrong according to science because there are clear criteria about what is alive and what is not.

It is nothing more than a photographic technique. This is like saying that Photoshoping Casper the Ghost onto a family picture is proving that spirits exist.

People talk about how they can show a leaf that was torn in two will still show as a whole leaf in a Kirlian photograph. However, this happens if you take a whole leaf, place it on the glass plate and then tear it in two. If you tear the leaf in two before you place it on the glass, it will not show the whole leaf. It will show just what is placed there.

For that matter, the leaf was removed from a plant. Why does the rest of the plant not show up in the photograph? Because, the rest of the plant was never on the plate to cause an image to be left behind.

Also, non-living objects can cause the Kirlian halos to appear. There are pictures of various inanimate objects that show this.

Kirlian photography is just a trick. No more, no less. It does not prove spirits or ghosts or auras.

Here are my sources. I am not answering with these. I am just giving them to provide reference.

even as someone who believes in spirits and auras
I would have to say no
all the Kirlian proves is that we have an ever changing energy field around our body
but it does back up psychics who have been reading auras for years and if they are correct about auras , then we should take into account other things they are capable of seeing and be more open minded about it all

although Kirlian doesnt capture energy from non living .. only living ... including plants etc

Depends whether your a monist or dualist, I suppose.

I think the first question to ask is, how do we scientifically explain the "aura"s in Kirlian photography, before we can even talk about spirits.
