depends on what track you go to. A track like Dega, Daytona, or even Cali, they don't rely heavily on the brakes so you wouldnt see red hot discs there. A place like Martinsville, or any of the road courses, your more likely to see hot brakes.

At a short-track like Martinsville and on a Road Course is where the brakes are used to the extent of getting bright red. This may be hard to see depending on the time of day the race is run and your position around the track. Night races at Martinsville are your best chance to see the 'Glow' of over-heated brakes.

Hmmm, great question! I've never really noticed the brake lights at California Speedway, so i guess you really don't see them "red". I think its because they don't use them that much there being the track is a Super Speedway!

I park right by turn three and four at my local short track. You can tell who is struggling with their car, the redder their rotors are.

You can't if your at a Super Speedway, but if you're at Martinsville or Loudon you can.
