Why wont my dentist give me braces???

Question

I need them badly most of my teeth arent straightened out and my 2 front teeth makes me look like im bugs bunny and worst of all it makes me talk with a lisp and people make fun out of my lisp.

im 13 and my dentist said "its not urgent" but clearly people in my class have braces when theyre teeth are perfectly fine.

my dentist said she would make a refferal but i havent heard and i dont think she takes me seriously, and i dont have any baby teeth.

If you are that adament about braces, have your parents talk to the dentist and request a referrel to the orthadontist.

Try to kind a new dentist, or just tell the people at the front desk to make you an appointment for the orthodontist.. They are the ones that deal with the braces not the dentist

trust me as someone having braces for 6 years don't rush it. He knows what he is doing. Do you still have a lot of baby teeth? That makes a difference. There can be a lot of things that make up whether or not they are going to do it our not.

My son just got his off and we had the same exact problem.
I contacted the Orthodonist and made an appointment and he got braces 2 weeks later.
If you don't have any baby teeth you should have braces on by now.

if your dentist is referring you to an orthodontist, call back to the clinic and follow up on the referral. If nothing happens, go to a new dentist for a second opinion.

They probably use a different dentist.

You can worry that your appearance is perfect, and neglect the personality behind the appearance.

Or you can be a well-rounded person, who's a loyal friend, a good student, and someone that people want to be with, but has a crooked tooth or two.
