I met someone through a chat room years ago... when the internet was first starting to boom. We chatted for several months online, and even exchanged letters and photos through the mail. We finally decided to meet. My parents were renewing their wedding vows and I invited him to come. We spent that weekend together and the next weekend I spent some time at his place. The only problem, he was ready to get physical far before I was. He tried initiating sex and was turned down. Before I left, I got a kiss... on the forehead... that relationship was over. But my same scenario could have played out the same way even if we met in person and not online.

I've met a couple people off the internet. I remain good friends with all of them. And I am in a relationship with the last guy I met online. I've had a very positive experience with online dating. Don't get me wrong-- I get asked out a lot in real life, but I see the internet as another way to meet people. You can screen out the loony ones!

Yes, I met my fiance on the internet. We talked for quite awhile and he asked me out a number of times before I actually agreed. Just make sure that if you are going to meet someone off the internet that you meet in a public place. You should always have your guard up. You never know who you may meet.

Be careful. It is ok to chat with someone online, but don't give out any personal info and never arrange a meeting until you know who you are meeting. People can say anything about themselves in a chat room, but that does not mean it is the truth. If you are cautious, you might find somone sincere. My friend met a girl online and they got married and recently had a daughter.

I met my BF through yahoo personals and so far we are soooooooo happy. I saw his profile and sent him a note and he replied. After a few mails we talked on the phone and then agreed to meet for a drink. I was communicating with a few other guys as well, but he was the first one I went on a date with. We had fun, but I had a hard time believing that my first date could be "the one" so I kept going on dates with other men. But after a while I realized that I was comparing them to him. Anyway...it has been almost 5 months since our first date and everything is great. If it wasn't for yahoo we would never have met.

Most of my friends I met them online. I did date a guy I met on the internet for about two years, but when we started dating, we had met each other in person and taken our friendship beyond the internet.

I don't believe in starting a relationship over the internet with someone I don't personally know. I've been tempted to, but in the end I manage to keep my feet on the ground.

I've met several guys from the net . . .. currently single so none of them were a keeper . . . but a few I've dated for a few months (one would have been a keeper if he had not lived so far away and another would be a keeper if he were not moving 2 hrs away next month). It's just another way of meeting people - some of which you'd never have met if you'd not tried the net idea.

I met many nice people and last one I got engaged to then she broke up with me. Most - if not all of them - let me down. It's really tough to have a stable online relationship without taking it offline.

If you are considering an online relationship be careful and try not to get so emotional until you have known this person in reality for a long time. Goodluck

Either god or bad????
there is a spelling button on this site, you know?
It's great for internet dating..much better than anything before...
just be safe and exchange pics but no phone numbers until you meet in a safe place with people around..............try yahoo.com....good site...or try this new site....singlesnet.com
it will work, but give it time...........lots of people are very choosy out there...and it might take weeks to do something with someone.....but that's better to be safe than have a bad experience.............

Yes, I did, I met my current boyfriend through myspace.....anyway, it's been hell, ever since we've been together.....something in the back of my head told me not to meet, and I wish I would have listened...because all he does now is look for new girlfriends on myspace and cheat but at the same time still says he loves me....it's my fault though.....i was just stupid to put up with his crap this whole time, but I finally realized he can't have his cake and eat it too, and maybe one day he realize what he lost.
