OR Republicans that you would NOT vote for, in regards to Abortion and Civili Rights?
From what little I have researched so far, there is NOT one Democrat that I would vote for, and a couple of wishy-washy Republicans.
I am still not sure who my vote will go to.

And to those wondering why I posted this under the R&S section, it is because I want to know where my fellow Latter-Day Saints stand on these issues.
Thank you in advance for your responses!

bettierage - If you are speaking in regards to Mitt Romney, he is a Republican, and NOT all L.D.S. intend on voting for him, just because he is L.D.S.
YodasTatoo - I don’t see how your ignorant comment is in any way an answer to my question.
bongernet - Yet another example of your lack of education.
machineheadliner - I don’t vote for someone just because they are L.D.S. If you are commenting on regards to Romney… I don’t even know if I will vote for him yet. As of now, I am still undecided.
sleeepycrow - THANK YOU!
Mike J - Then why don’t you run, if you are soooo righteous?
art babe - I would rather vote for an honest person than someone who is wishy-washy, regardless if they are Democrat or Republican.

I think the problem is.... that no one trust any of the candidates to do as they say. Perhaps these candidates need to start to realize that talk is cheap!

i would vote for who ever has the best policies. regardless of the party they associate with. we know they all change positions on different subjects and bills, but that's because America is always changing. we will never have a "spotless" president, after all, they're human. so just grit your teeth, vote, and hope for the best. besides the president is just a spokesperson for the house of Representatives, they make the real decisions. i fear that most people don't realize that. they think it's just one man controlling everything. that's just not the case.

I may be wrong, but don't think I am, however this is how I feel.
A wishy-washy Republican is better than any Democrat any day. I cannot embrace the ideoligies of the Democratic Party. Their biggest platform is pro-abortion and as far as Civil Rights, I personally cannot see where the Republican Party has violated Civil Rights or brought any demise to it.
P.S. I should add that if anyone can show me a Democrat who is pro life, period, then I MIGHT consider them for my vote. If I can't trust a candidate with the lives and welfare of the unborn, then how can I trust them with my life and welfare.

I honestly can't say I know enough about each candidate to say if I'd vote for them or not. I'll have to do some reading on where each stands on the issues. I do vote Republican more than Democrat.

I believe betteriage is referring to Harry Reid, the LDS Democratic Senator from Nevada, who is the majority leader. But most Mormons in Nevada I know haven't voted for him, and think he's "peculiar" even for a "peculiar people"

The Republicans talk the talk when it comes to getting the votes of Christian conservatives. But that's all it is - come election time, they talk all the right words about gay marriage, etc. (when they aren't in a washroom stall.)
But between election years its all lobbyists all the time, making sure their favourite defense contractors get deals to supply all the right wars.
As I see it, a Christian might as well vote Democrat. Since they're both lying to you anyway, it hardly seems to make a difference.

Democrats are more likely to care for the poor and indigent. Republicans are more likely to care for the wealthy and big-business.
I understand your point of view on abortion- but Republicans have no intention of ever making it illegal or less prevalent as they do everything in their power to cut money from sexual education which is a must to reduce the amount of unwanted pregnancies. Unfortunately, people look past all the other horrible things that republicans do to people or their general lack of compassion because of the one issue---abortion...so repubs will never want it to be illegal because it makes people vote for them! If that problem was solved a lot more people would vote democratically.

There are many other issues that should also be taken into account when voting for government.
