I've tried the obvious...new shocks...heavy and light. and new tires....it still bounces in the rear...it really feels as though there is a out of round tire in the back and it's driving me crazy...naturally it goes away when I put a load in the bed...was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what fixed it....any dodge techs out there?

I would check the U-joints and steady bearing, most likely they are worn out and when you put a load in it straightens out the driveshaft angle and takes the stress off the U-joint so that is why it goes away then.

I know what ur problem is. I had the same problem in my 2003 dodge ram. Look under your rear- end and check the bolts from your U-joints. They are loose and U need to tighten them up or have the entire unit changed out.
