I don't know why some Jehovah's witness would answer that way because i am not familiar with there believe but i will tell you if you have a wonderful dream then cherish it and hold on to it. I have dreamed of my mother and several people who have passed over. I have also been given information in these dreams that has proved to be true. So believe in your dreams, and besides how can a wonderful dream of your mother be a demon any ways?

It was just a dream. But if someone thinks that a dead loved one is trying to contact them through a dream for example, then a consideration of Ezekiel 18:4 may prove beneficial. It says: "The soul that is sinning—it itself will die."
So, if there is no immortal soul, the dead cannot contact the living. If it is not the dead loved one, who else is it?
Although Jehovah's Witnesses, along with other faiths, do not believe the soul is immortal and the dead cannot be contacted, they also believe what the Bible says about the resurrection of the dead to life on a Paradise earth.
This may sound far-fetched at first, but it is in line with God's original purpose for the earth and mankind. It is also scriptural. Surely it merits some investigation.

I am not a Jehovah's Witness, but I can tell you that in my experience, some people just like to rain on other people's parades. Regardless of their religious affiliation.
It seems rather mean-spirited to focus one's own personal zeal on something that is so beautiful as a dream of a lost, loved mother. But remember that their comments are just trying to get you riled up. I would even say that words or actions that those people use to try and take away the beautiful memory you felt are...well... devilish...
I guess what I am trying to say is Ignore Them. Let the mean and angry folks live in their world where there is only fear and demonic purpose. You were the fortunate recipient of a precious dream. Enjoy it.
Your mother would have wanted it that way.

As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, allow me please to tell you this much.
Yes, we do believe that people who say they see dead loved ones are really seeing demons. The scriptures say that the soul that is sinning, it itself will die (Ezekiel 18:4) so how can you be visited by someone's spirit or soul
BUT, in this specific instance, a dream is different. I lost my mother and my kid brother to cancer. I dream about them occasionally. I don't think it's them visiting me and giving me messages in my dreams. It's just memories and the subconscious at work.

Listen, whomever told you it was a demon doesn't have an inner spirtual meaning to lots of questions in life. Don't accept it and just carry on with the great feeling and thought of that beautiful dream.

religious people are a pain and Jehovah's Witnesses are amongst the most annoying-just slam that door really hard in their faces/on their feet and chase them out! They'd know all about demons in human form-look at some of the child abuse cases relating to their church, where the child is not believed unless a church member seen the abuse, which is too bad if it is the church member doing the abuse. Scum that they are.

Dreams are not demons, dreams are what you make of it, your sub conscience, usually messages to you to interpret as you wish. Unless it was an actually demon you dreamed, well even then, lol, it represents something and not what that *someone* is suggesting. Don't be influenced by them at all.

they believe only a set number of believers will enter the after life and none have crossed over yet, so if your mother came to you in a dream it must be a demon because no one is over there yet.

I wouldn't tell a Jehovah Witness--they seem to think they know it all. This dream seems to be beautiful. My mother died when I was fifteen and when I dream of her I feel it's her just letting me know she still loves me, wherever she is.

Because there is not enough goodness to go around in Kingdom Hall. Everything stops at 144,000. I guess that math is not really the forte of their founder. I'm on my way to heaven and I'll be like the kafrillionth person there, my ticket is GRACE.
Peace.
(no offense, Witnesses)
