No.
There are a few special units within the special operations community where we do not want people to know who they are - while they are in those units. Anybody in those units will simply say that they are in a different (and uninteresting) unit.
If you find somebody who claims he cannot tell you - you can bet your money that he is a fake.

If the really did belong to a branch of special operations and could not talk about it, they would have a cover story. They would say I am a truck driver, supply clerk, or something else boring and have enough knowledge to talk about those fields. Saying "I am not aloud to talk about it" just would let people know what you were doing. Those that are truly doing something secret would not let you know about it.

Delta Force isn't supposed to exist. I've met some of those guys before. I've asked them if they were Delta and they grin and say "Delta doesn't exist." But everyone knows about them now.
If you ever hear anyone say they work for "The State Department", that probably means they work for the CIA. I've met plenty of people that are in the CIA that say that.

JAG buddy --
There is ALWAYS a cover story
People who work within "black ops" are never Black Ops Personnel -- They are --- sargents and captains and chiefs and whatever --- and are attached to --- intellegence, aircraft maintainance, training, base administration, etc etc --- but, are not actually in the works OF those fields in their actual duties !! So, for all intents and purposes -- and for the overall -- in answer to your question -- YES -- and they ALL come under the Heading OF Black Ops -- you or I will never know much more than THAT !!

Yeah, they're called SAP's or SMU's. But if someone were a member of a SAP or SMU they wouldn't bring attention to themselves by answering a question with the BS James Bond answers...
