I have configured my Yahoo mail on MS Outlook 2003. The problem is when my mails start to download on the outlook server, it stops in between - that’s midway through. After this when I click on Send / Receive, it starts to download from the first mail on my yahoo server thus making another copy of my mails.

Is there a solution to this?

Thxs,
Denise

Check to see if you have any other configuration in the account profiles. It sounds like you have more than one, which could cause this. While the transfer is going open the process indicator and see what is making it hang. If you have something with a huge attachment or lots of pics it may take a while to transfer, making it look like it hangs.
Start the process and let it run until it either gives up or finishes. If it fails you should get some sort of message indicating why.

Yes, stop using Outlook and go directly to your Yahoo Mail account. It is, after all, a "web based" Email service, so you don't need a buggy, insecure Email Client program to access it.
