Bank of America is my card holder. The bill comes at the sametime my rent is due, which makes it impossible to pay both at the same time.

Credit card companies will usually let you change the billing date "one" time. Once they change it they will not allow it to be changed again.

Pick out a date that works for you then call BoA

I agree with the rest of the responders to this post. All you have to do is call the credit card company and request that your monthly payment be changed to a date that will work for you. They will usually swing it up to 2 weeks to reflect your pay period. All you have to do is ask them and most of the time (especially if they know you are having problems paying on time and you explain that's the reason) they are willing to help you out so that they can keep you as a customer.

Call the bank and tell them you NEED to change the date of your payment and explain why. Every credit card company I have worked with has allowed me to change it once I explain why but you are talking about B of A here so be prepared to stand firm for what you want.
Good luck

Yes, you are able to change the payment date.
Contact the credit card company, and they will oblige you.
The information that they will only do it once, is in error.

As long as you do not make a habit of it, if your circumstances change in a year or two, they will again try to accommodate you.
