I'm not sure what kind it is, but she was just laying there and it came out and start moving across the floor. It was thin and white.

She's about 7 years old, so I dont think it could be roundworms because I thought they had to be puppies before they could get those...

It could be tapeworms too, but i thought that they never actually came out in one big piece, i thought they just broke off in segments.

What do you think?
And yes, i'm taking her to the vet sometime next week when I'm off work.

I would go to a pet store and get some Pyrantel based wormer today. It wasn't a tapeworm, so pyrantel pamoate will kill them. If they are actually "crawling" out, she should be wormed twice one week apart and then monthly. Read the labels. Most OTC wormers are trash. You need something with pyrantel as an active ingredient. It runs less than ten dollars.
It was a roundworm, but get a product that will kill hookworms too. Read the label.

Dogs can get roundworms at any age.

When you go to the vet, bring a poop sample and they'll be able to tell you what kind of worm it is.

Yep, it looked like a piece of pasta, that's a flat worm or (Tape) worm, they normally come from fleas.
Take the pooch to the vet or you can get worming medicine from most farm supply and pet stores, very common.

Off to the vet (with a stool sample) you go !

(Note that some worms and parasites can be contagious to humans too -- best to get this resolved quickly)

=D

I would take her to the vet sooner, if possible. Any type of worm could cause her discomfort and she could develop stomach illness. The sooner she is treated, the sooner she'll be better.

Do this sooner than later. If this gets worse it could kill the dog. This is painful to the dog. You could probably call the vet and you could probably pick up the medicine without taking the dog in. You could go to a pet store and ask for medicine there also that would get rid of them.

Your doing the right thing. And like the others have said bring a stool sample. Sounds like a "flat worm" to me. Bring that if you can along with the stool.

Sounds like a pretty serious infestation. Get her tested and on medication quickly. While round worms aren't as devastating as hooks, they still are debilitating to your dogs' health and you will want to get rid of them quickly. If you have other dogs, you need to test them all.
