cHristians & Atheists love to argue the truth with each other but, what does everyone on here think of muslimes? They dont seem to say much but, when they do, its mostly to defend, what they seem to think, is their great name & religion. And, if they dont like your answer to their questions, you can guarentee you will receive a violation email from Yahoo & they block you from answering again. Ive slightly changed my view on cHristians. They arent as bad as the muslimes after all. What do you all think?

There seems to be "shift changes" on R&S. I get to work about 7a, EST, and there are still a lot of Eastern religions being discussed. At some point shortly thereafter, Western religions (specifically Christianity) seem to come more into play on the board.

I don't have a lot of knowledge on Islam, but I disagree with their basic premise overall, and think their methodology is as bad as Christianity.

I agree with you wholeheartedly.

From my point of view .. people who follow Islam seriously (I am not referring to them as Muslims as there are good broadminded Muslims too) have this adherence to the religious tenets that they fail to see the world as a conglomeration of ideas.

They are so fixated on Allah that they quote his name like a punctuation mark without understanding anything.

The Islam fundamentalists are very irritating lot as they don't understand logic or reasoning but blindly follow the rules and think that their religion is the ultimate word.

There are similar people in Christianity who are vociferous about Bible and God's word but not be inclined to defend themselves as much as fundamentalist Islams.

I think that Muslims are doing very little to help ease the strife in the middle east, espcially since their religion seems to very deeply rooted in their politics.

I 'm not sure about the Y! behavior, but in some ways they're worse than other religions in that they are not interested in Q&A debates and seem to be just trying to spread their faith.

I don't look upon the people as being any different from the next group and I don't see their beliefs as any more or less ridiculous - both camps are misguided in that regard, however I take issue with them, both Christianity and Islam, for tending to allow belief to sway and carry their political views. Together, they are a hindrance and a true danger to rational society and a peaceful world. I do not stand with either of them for reasons of belief.

I have little opinion of them. There are a couple nice ones on here. There are a few who just cut/paste Koran passages several thousand words long which I thumbs down just so I won't have to scroll back up past them.

But I hate it when they prostelitize as much as I hate it when the Christians do. It shows lack of respect and bad manners.

The muslims have not done anything to me, nor have I seen any hateful posts from them. Perhaps I miss them, but they seem to be appropriate...except for quoting looong koran passages. The christians on the other hand....sigh. The aren't very "christlike," that is for certain.
(I'm referring to some, not all)

I'm an Atheist I don't really have a problem with Muslims.
I just don't like the hatefull gay bashing that the religions do.
If God wants love and peace then why don't they accept them?
