What I mean is if you are so sure that your God want's love and peace in the world.Well then wouldn't you want to make Gods plan work by accepting the homosexuals?
That would solve one problem in the world.
I honestly cannot see anything wrong with them, They are
kind loving people. If you wan't them to stop this there is something wrong with your logic. If you succeded and had it banned you would take away so much love by doing this.
Don't you think?
I don't mean this to sound sarcastic! It is a normal question.

Going by some of the answers I have gotton by religious people it looks like they think if they accept it then ultimately they would have to be homosexuals themselves.
That is stupid. And they have not read the question properly.

Cos they are stupid bigots I think. They compare it to rape and other acts that are abusive and non-consensual whilst they forget the consent issue. they also talk about sin whilst they are promoting hatreds
they think they know better then the people who are LBGT etc and then are totally stupid because they spout about it bieng a choice and stuff when it isn't
It isn't even in the bible as the original passages condemned paedophiles and it only appeared in the bible in the 1850's I think

First of all, I've said this before, and I'll continue saying it because apparently some people can't understand it.
Christians DON'T HATE homosexuals.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say God hates homosexuals, nor does He tell us to. God considers homosexuality a sin, just like the sins we commit. Anyone who believes in God should want to follow His will. That doesn't make us any better than them or anyone else. God accepts everyone, but that doesn't mean He accepts our sins. That's why we are supposed to repent of our sins. I'm sure homosexuals are very peaceful and loving; I don't think they are evil or anything; most people are.
People who commit adultery sometimes claim they can't help it; they're just in love. Should that be acceptable then? Pedophiles also feel that they are sharing love. Many genuinly don't think they are hurting anyone. Should we accept what they are doing as normal and ok too?

i dont have nothing against homosexuals but it is not acceptable to god cuz if it were, he would have said it in the bible. we just cant accept it cuz we think it would help the world become more peaceful cuz in Deuteronomy 4:2, Proverbs 30:6 and Revelation 22:18-19, the bible says "do not add or subtract to his word for you will be found a liar." God likes his word the way it already is and no one in the world has the power to change it, even if we think its for the better. If he wanted 2 men or 2 women together, then he wouldve created them in the beginning instead of adam and eve.
Yes, you are right when you say that banning it took away a lot for those who were homosexuals but even if it wasnt banned, it would still take away a lot from others who are very religious. People need to realize that not everyone is going to be satisfied with the decisions made today.
God gives us all a choice to live our lives the way we wish to live them even if its right or wrong but most christians do not see that. they try to force others to live like them. i think that they should be let them be who they wanna be and worry about their own lives.

Given that Almighty God inspired the writing of the Bible, and a TRUE Christian obeys the Bible, then that true Christian would know these scriptures, which after all are God's thoughts.
(1 Corinthians 6:9) What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men,
(1 Timothy 1:10) fornicators, men who lie with males, kidnappers, liars, false swearers, and whatever other thing is in opposition to the healthful teaching
It is the PRACTICE that God hates.
Stop the practice and forgiveness is possible.'
'
(1 Corinthians 6:11) And yet that is what some of YOU were. But YOU have been washed clean, but YOU have been sanctified, but YOU have been declared righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God.

First off, love and peace in the world isn't God's main concern and it shouldn't be a Christian's main priority either. Our main priorities should be SAVING people from hell. In the Bible it says God didn't come to the world for peace but yet with a sword.
I'm a very strong Christian and I don't consider homosexual's bad people at all. They are just like everyone else - Humans. I believe that what they go through is a sin just as i might sin with lying or lust or pride. I don't think they are to be but down and i don't believe people always "choose" to be gay. I believe its a sin they have to struggle with, repent for, and hopefully overcome just like anyone else. I accept the fact that people in our world today are homosexuals and I'm OK with that. Its their life and i don't degrade them for their life style. Who am i to say that they are horribly wrong and are condemned to Hell when I've sinned, too. I'm not God.

There are so many intelligent answers here from both sides of the argument.
I feel that I could have given a credible and intelligent answer also but it seems if you don't get your answer in among the first few respondents, there is no point because it won't get noticed!

Well, it's not that all Christians "reject" homosexuality.
I accept it as a lifestyle choice. I don't judge homosexuals. I actually have quite a few friends who are gay.
I still think it's wrong though, and my views stem from more than just religious beliefs. If you look at the natural order of life. If you look at man and woman and how our species procreates, it's not hard to see that homosexuality doesn't fit in with that.
While sex might be pleasurable, it has a purpose. So when two women or two men decide to engage in those activities together, it's only natural to believe that it is a perversion of the natural order of our planet.
But in the end, we're all humans. We've all got to do our best to be good to each other. I'm not going to rage against homosexuals. My life isn't perfect, and I'm in no position to judge their lifestyle, lest I want someone to judge mine.

The same reason they don't eat shrimp. It's an abomination to God.
Oh, no, I guess they don't follow that part of the Bible.
Okay, then the reason is because Paul didn't like it. But, worshipping Paul is not the same as worshipping Jesus, who never had any issue with homosexuals.
I guess it's the same reason that other homophobes hate homosexuality. It's different in their eyes, and they want everyone else to conform to their own beliefs.
Pity, since it's so obvious that God wouldn't have any problems with homosexuals.

From a purely non-biblical perspective, it's the wrong plumbing. Disgusting. However, since this is R&S, God's love does not cover or extend to living in a willful state of sin. You can argue all day and night, and it is not going to change God's mind. For my part, I will not sin against them by physically assaulting them or allowing others to hurt them, but telling it the way it is according to God's word is what bothers them. That in itself is proof that they know on some level deep within their being that what they're doing is utterly wrong and sinful in God's eyes. I'll leave that to them to deal with on the Day when God will Judge all people. I'm not their Judge.

The problem is the conjugal act of homosexuality. All single persons are called to live chaste lives since the sexual act is only for married persons. This applies to anyone, regardless of whether they are homosexual or heterosexual. In no way should any person be disrespected or denied love. We are all God's children; we are simply asked to avoid sinful behavior.
