i think you're eating out of boredom, i do the same sometimes

go out during the day and if you're hungry try not to think about food and you'll forget about it

when you do go out try not to take money unless u really have to

if u take it ull be tempted to buy food

You haven't given ay indicationof your normal eating habits, or what actual quantities you are talking about here.

Unless you have a rare disorder where sufferer ALWAYS feels hungry, even when bloated, then you need to control your eating.

This does NOT mean stopping all eating.

It means deciding on a well balanced diet, and eating it throughout the day in a way that suits your body.

Why are you eating more than usual? Have you been undereating and your body is starving? Are you bored? Are you needing comfort? Are you someone who is better eating lots of small meals rather than few large ones?

Try eating your bowl of cereal with fruit for breakfast.

Then go and chop up a big bowl of celery, carrots, etc and put them in the fridge. This is your 'grazing' bowl and contains foods that satisfy the need to eat from boredom without spoiling a healthy diet.

Have a big bowl of salad for lunch, with low fat cheese or fruit with low fat yoghurt.

Again have salad, steamed vegies or simillar for dinner, with a small serve of lean protein and a serve of pasta/bread etc for carbs.

Munch on goodies from your grazing bowl whenever you feel the need. Drink lots of water (at least 8 glasses a day). Weak black tea is also fine several times a day

Have a small glass of low fat milk and a piece of fruit at bed-time to keep your metabolism working while you sleep.

Don't let yourself be hungry or you will binge, have healthy options easily available and if you must indulge in crisps, do it with friends and share a small bag betwen a group so you only get afew!

Oh girl!! I've just read your question and I couldn't help thinking about my situation a few months ago! This also happened to me for about 1 year!! and I know how you feel!! You are acting like that because you are anxious!! maybe you don't even know the reason or why you do that, you simply cannot help it! In my case I was sad because my dad died, and I felt sad and alone even though for the rest of the world was fine as ever, I just ate like mad when I was alone and nobody could see me to the point I was so full that I felt terrible and sick and when I was less full I just felt super guilty!! my only advice is try to sort out your problems, try to be in peace with yourself...as soon as you get it, you will have the balance you need, the brain power to need to stay calm and stop eating!! I've been fine for 2 months now and I'm really happy and proud of myself!! during this time when I had my eating attacks I put on a bit of weight, I wasn't fat, but obviously I wasn't as fit as before!! now after these 2 months I have lost 1stone and I'm my normal self! Good luck, girl!!

Back off the carbs, they are notorious for leaving you hungry a short while later...when you eat go for high fiber foods and protien (maybe an apple with a couple of tablespoons fo peanut butter) and drink LOTS of water.

Other than that, it's self control. You are in control so don't eat every time you get the urge to snack. Do something else...go for a walk, do some housework, or anything that'll keep you away from the kitchen...also drink lots of water throughout the day. That will help keep you feeling more 'full'. If you don't like plain water then try crystal light or one of the low or no calorie beverages (not soda) that are mostly water. They aren't as healthy as water, but are better than soda or juice with sugar in it.

Good luck!

I go through phases like this too when nothing will satisfy me .
The best thing to do is fill up on water and make a salad bowl up, and keep dipping into that all day ,
Its not the same as a nice bar of chocolate but you will be glad in the long run

Over-eating is an dependancy, staring on the circumstances. in case you have emotional trauma on your previous, counseling or a help group would be needed, and there are a number of available. in case you have faith your self to be emotionally healthful, then the answer i'd propose would be to take up a easy coffee (which includes extra or less a similar quantity of caffeine as a candy bar) with a packet of Splenda (to fulfill the candy the tooth.) Caffeine is an urge for nutrition suppressant, and low has minimum energy, plus water-based products tend to fill the tummy lots swifter than good meals/candy. additionally, this habit ought to satiate your caffeine fix whilst on a similar time make you experience extra finished and lowering your urge for nutrition. Be advised; I reported a easy coffee.

Hi, got to find the source of this sudden addiction. Check this first::
1) Did something seriously happen in relationships over the past 3 days? Pressure, anger and nerves can often cause excessive eating.
2) Monitor your body reactions over the next 7 days---if more discomfort is experienced, go and seek medical advice. At the same time, take your weight.
3) Control and reduce your eating. Tell yourself that abnormal eating can bring about more unexpected complications that affect your health.
4)Take daily brisk walking somewhere ideal to collect your thoughts/plans and to burn off some unwanted fat, if you have them.

This is not to frighten or bluff you, but has happened in my community a few years back---a teenaged boy liked a certain soft drink and drank bottles and bottles of it until he was sent to hospital but he collapsed and died. And there are countless stories of youths and adults who have little to do around the house, got bored and ate themselves to such extreme obesity that they couldn't function normally and finally their legs could not withstand the bodys' extreme load. Sad stories but true!

I wish you well and hope you take positive action, right now! Good luck!

you're hungry all the time because you're not eating proper meals. Your continual snacking is what is leading to weight gain. You need to have set, large meals (breakfast, Lunch, dinner), and make sure you include a lot of slow acting carbohydrates and fibre to give you energy and fill you up. That way you wont be tempted...or at least less tempted.. to eat junk constantly.

Eatting can become a habit, like anything else.

You are eating allot of fluff, try eating something with protein content which is more satisfying for a longer period of time.Eat lots of fruit and veggies and whole grains. Get yourself into some exercise program as well as some kind of work to occupy yourself and not have so much free time on your hands.

sounds like you're spending too much time indoors, you need to get out of the house: go to a park, to the mall (don't go to the food court!!!), to the gym, or something. go for a walk while listening to your ipod or cd-player(whatever applies). trust me, it will keep your mind off food.

last : do not eat more than 2 pieces of chocolate if you have an "addiction" to it. very hard to stop eating after chocolate.

well, you should've told us that you might be pregnant....lol
but i don't think that you're having cravings for food if you're indeed pregnant, it's too early, but then again, every1 is different. but just to be sure, you need to GET TESTED!!!! it's that simple. maybe once you know that you're not pregnant you'll stop eating. eating can be emotional "comfort".
