Israel was divided after Solomon's reign into 2.

Judah and Israel

Israel was destroyed and its inhabitants were taken into captivity by Assyria around 586 BCE

Judah was also destroyed I think by Persia, and then later rebuilt. The Temple was destroyed and all of the Gold was stolen. The Ark of the Covenant had already been taken to Ethiopia by Melenek, Solomon's son by the Queen of Sheba.

Judah was destroyed again by the Romans during the Jewish Wars of 66-70 A.D., most of the inhabitants of Judah fled to Africa during that period. Those that remain were taken as slaves by the Roman Empire and dispersed throughout the Roman Empire.

If you mean the Temple, the above answers about the First and Second Temple are somewhat accurate. The Temple was destroyed a Third time prior to the time of Herod. Herod removed the superstructure of the Temple including the first row of the foundation and rebuilt the Third Temple just prior to Christ's birth. It was said to be even more spectacular than Solomon's. It is this Third Temple that was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD. Herod believed himself to be God or at least High Priest, slaughtered innocent blood, and brought into the Temple the Roman influence. There are to be no more Temples, at least by Christian faith, because God's Temple is now within us and provides a dwelling place for both God and Christ as High Priest. It is in this final temple that the abomination that make desolate will be set up. It is the reason why the final scourging spoken of in Revelation as being death and scourging by fire of much of the earth's population that motivates (or at least should) us to teach the Word of God. It is a horrible, but just result of God's wrath. Not that He brings it on, but that we bring it on ourselves. So sad when He offers so much better.

I believe you are referring to the multiple destructions of the Holy Temple which would signify the downfall of the Hebrews but only to be rebuilt for the creation of a new state.

This First Temple was destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 BCE, and was rebuilt seventy years later by Cyrus the Great in 516 BCE.

The Second Temple was subsequently destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE. All of the outer walls still stand, although the Temple itself has long since been destroyed, and for many years it was believed that the western wall of the complex was the only wall standing.

Jewish eschatology envisions the construction of The Third Temple in Jerusalem prior to the coming of The Messiah, and thus, adherents of Orthodox and Conservative Judaism anticipate a Third Temple.

Twice: Once is 607BCE and then again in 70CE. These destructions were prophecied by the likes of Isaiah and Jeremiah.

The people did bounce back but a) they lost their status as God's chosen people and b) the temple was never rebuilt after 70CE. In fact, I actually saw pieces of the destroyed temple years ago at a museum exhibit entitled "Treasurers of the Holy Land."

Law(God): I will forsake you: Jeremiah 23:39
Grace(God): I will never forsake thee: Hebrews 13:5

David: Psalms 22 ... "forsaken" ... king of Jews: Law
Jesus: Matthew 27 ... "forsaken" ...King of Jews: Law

POINT: Grace is not Mt 22: 36-40 Law Law (sword).
Grace is smarter(sharper) than Rom 8:2 Law vs Law.
Grace cannot lie(law) nor die(law). Law Law does both.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Destroyed? Never. They've been beat up pretty good and exiled a few times, though.

Obviously it was never destroyed since it exists.

And God kept coming back to them, and said He won't forsake them.

Now, how long will you be in hell if you reject Jesus Christ to your dying breath? ETERNALLY.

Zero. If you studied history, you would see there are legitimate, natural reasons for its turmoil EVERY time.

God's never a part of it, only the people who claim to talk to him.
