will have stainless appliances. Is it overkill to use a stainless look on my outlet and switch covers? Or should I use white? Also we are tiling over the sink area. Should those outlet covers match the others or should they blend with the tilework? Thanks! :)

Our walls are tan....tiles are different shades of tan with a little triangle every here and there that is a pewter/staniless steel color.

Your outlet covers should blend with the tile work....to use the stainless covers just makes them stand out. It looks nicer to have a more seamless appearance.

I had a client who insisted on the stainless outlet covers....and all over the kitchen, there would be a rectangle of stainless, it was very distracting.

Of course you can do whatever you like, but I think the stainless covers might be too much. Stainless is reflective so you will notice the covers more than if they were white or cream. Buy one and try it before you commit. Whatever you decide, all the covers should be the same.

you can always put your appliances in and after get a *sample*outlet cover put it up and look at it compared to something else.. if you like it then its not over kill! but don't go out and buy all the covers test it first
