will he be in hell? what happened to the good deeds he did when he was alive, would God look past it in favor of the "born-agains"?

MsScarlet, if you think God is a Just God, then you wouldn't think that a person who has done good deeds will be in hell. where's justice in that if that person will be in hell for not being a "born-again"? can you see the contradiction in your statement yet?

Actually, MsScarlet, you are wrong.

The only way to Heaven is through the Son of God - Jesus Christ, not by being born again.
* No one gets to the Father but through Me.
* For God love the world so much that He gave His only Son, that who ever believes in Him shall not perish but have life everlasting.

Don't see the part about being "born again"

See, it is ONLY with the Grace of God that we are saved. And it is ONLY God that will determine who gets into Heaven. Not you, not me, not your pastor or my Pope. GOD and God alone makes that judgment.

It has nothing to do with good deeds. God is a just God and he states through his word that the only way to heaven is to be born again. Good deeds and charitable works are great things. Even the worst people can do good deeds for various reasons such as tax breaks etc. The ONLY way to heaven is through being born again through the saving Grace of the sacrifice of Christ's blood on the cross. It may not seem fair but it's the way it is so to answer the question yes if a person who is not born again dies even though he has done wonderful works all his life is not born again he will go to hell. That's not my law it's God's.

I don't know where you will be because I am not God but this is what God says about good deads done on our own. He says that our righteousness is like filthy rags. This means that whenever we do something good it is out of pride, gain or some other selfish motive. If we were honest with ourselves we would see that without God, our good deeds are only done with selfish intentions. If you say that is false then you are calling God a liar. Now who do you think is lying?

Your mistake is in the assumption that we actually do anything that is 100% good. You are wrong. Everything I do, or you do, or anyone else does is tainted with sin to one degree or another. Therefore, doing good deeds in order to merit salvation only brings greater debt of sin, which makes your original problem worse. The other problem in your thinking is that even if you could do something that was pure goodness all the way through, you still havr to answer for your sins. God is the perfect judge, and he will not overlook your crimes justy because not everything you ever did was overtly wicked.

Ms Scarlet & Perplexed

Your answer base not in truth but own option, concept, and own justification, not base on scripture or bible, you are adding things to bible. Remember God (Jesus) die for all so that we may have eternal life in him. By dieing Jesus did not die only for born again christens. He die for all. Jesus can’t contradict him self. Plus, you are twisting word and compromise so that salvation only comes from faith alone.

Anthony B

A good deeds can also means to do God will, for example what he says, "to love one another as he did on the cross, obey his ten commandments, love him above other thing, and fallow his steps." If you can’t do those this then you don’t have the grace of God and his faith. When you only talk about faith alone is just words (talk can't save you). God will say to you in heaven where are dead “when I was hungry you did not gave me to eat”. In fact, the only time the phrase “faith alone” (in Greek, pistis monon) occurs in the Scripture is when James say, “A man is justified by works and not by faith alone” (James 2:24) . “does of the law who will be justified” (Rome 2:13) Paul, sayings. I bet that you did not know this verse because read what matter to you not the whole bible or try to twisted. Holy Tradition says, Works done in a system of law do not justify, and works done in a system of grace do justify. This is the key paradigm in the biblical teaching of justification. This comes Catholic Church teaching through holy tradition.

The Bible says that if we're not born again, we cannot inherit the kingdom of Heaven. Sadly, that means an eternity in Hell because your "good deeds" alone aren't enough to save you! It's wonderful to give of yourself for your fellow man, but when it comes to your SOUL, you have to give that to God in order to get into Heaven. Otherwise, you're denying Jesus' sacrifice and its' effect in your life. Without Jesus in your life, your good deeds are based on your morality and since morality alone cannot get you in, you're stuck! The Bible says that man will have to "give an account" or "measure himself" against EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God, not against our "good deeds".

MsScarlet is correct, and yes, our God is a just God.

You are trying to compromise with God and twist things into your favor based on how you think things should be. Unfortunately for you, you don't get to make the rules, God does.

And his rules are really simple. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior or you will not be in Heaven. Deeds don't get you there.

Eternal life is a fact. The only question is, where will you be?

I am so sorry for those who think for God, for they do not know what truth is.
Truth of the matter is that only God knows who and who will not be saved. Only God knows his divine plan, and we are no one to question that.
We, Christian, Buddhist, Islamic, and any other faith are all in God's divine plan and why question who is or is not to be saved.
People need to concentrate on their own salvation and not worry on what others think or erroneously say.
God keep you always.

they will tell you that yes they are in hell, but the bible don´t say that in acts 24:15 "and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous" if they are unrighteous they will be resurrected.

but not evil, evil will face as the bible says in Psalms 37:9 "For evildoers themselves will be cut off,
But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth."
