what is st. peter's connection and importance to the life of Jesus christ???.....

God chose Peter to build His Church on Earth and gave him the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven (Peter was the first Pope, Christs' Vicar on Earth.)

EDIT....Where are all the others ? I can't be the only one to answer this question----something is wrong !
