You should start when they are six weeks old teaching them what they can and can not chew on !! and you wouldn't have this problem now !! When there young and you catch them chewing on say a shoe, you immediately take the shoe away and say No firmly and then right away you give them a toy that they can chew on ! And say good boy/girl , so they learn what they can chew on !! and what not ! You also leave alot of chew toys laying around and chew bones so they will have alot of things that they can chew on !! and try changing out the chew toys to different ones so they don't get bored with the same toys !! you have to watch them and catch them chewing on the wrong thing so you can correct them !!! About the cat, you should also let a young puppy be around kittens and let them play together so your dog gets use to cats and also other dogs !! The jumping part is hard sense that is what a boxer does ! they are playful and like jumping up on you so that is hard to break! its part of being a boxer ! When your boxer jumps on you do not give it any attention because if you do then your doing what they want you to do, so ignore them and don't even look at them! you can put out your hand and say NO Jump everytime too and be firm about it !! it may take longer but as it gets older it will calm down !! My boxer plays with my sisters kitten and they chase each other !! but i let her play with a kitten when she was very little to get her use to them, she is 5 mos. old now and she does real well, she likes sniffing my cats but if i don't want her to then i tell her NO firmly and she will stop ! they are older and may not like it!! also about biting, No dog or puppy should ever be allowed to bite anyone, Not even Play biting! If you start out letting your dog Play Bite you then you have taught him it is o.k. and thats why he still does it ! when mine were puppys and tryed play biting i would always correct her by saying No Bite and then stop playing with her at that time, so they learn that biteing is not a way to play !!

with the chewing, you have to keep all the crap he chews on normally away from him, and then start punishing him for chewing on new stuff if he starts, however you may choose to punish him. If he'll sit for you, then make him sit and get right in his face and tell him a firm NO! With the jumping on people, you might have to ask someone else, i don't know that one, and the licking the cat, well that's not so bad, why not take that opportunity to take a picture of them. i think it just means he is attached to and protective over the cat, no big deal, that's actually a good thing, as long as he doesn't try to eat the cat, then you should be fine. hope i helped

awww the joys of puppyhood lol
1) get a toy you will allow him to chew and when you catch hhim chewing something he shouldnt be take whatever off him and give him the one he is allowed to play with and praise him. Everytime he plays with his chew toy lots of praise and maybe a small treat.
2) tell people to simply ignore the dog untill he settles down then once sat down stroke him then he will soon learn that jumping on people wont get himn any attention so will stop.
3) he may just love your cat lol let them 2 sort it out between themselves
if he is biting and hurting tell him no and ignore him. But he is just a pup so will probibly grow out of biting

Replace the forbidden item with something he can chew. Every single time he jumps on people either give him a knee in the chest or grab and squeeze his front paw. If you can get at his rear toes easily, step on them. No warnings, no verbal cues, just absolute consistency. When he bites you, push your fisted hand further into his mouth. This will lock his jaw open and he won't like the sensation of choking on your hand.

you have to train him these things. i have an 8 month old cockerspaniel and in a book that i brought for her it says that 8 months is concidered the Teenage years for a dog, what you should do is like lay down the law which is really hard to do on a puppy. whenever your boxer is doing something wrong just say NO and walk up to him *that works with my dog* hopefully it will work for you* when your dog does something right give him/her a treat. *sorry i dont know its gender*
GOOD LUCK!!

Ooh i know what you mean? If he's still a puppy you still have a chance to change him around. My puppy does the same thing... well used to and still is but just not as much. What I did was yell to him in his face, right in his eye. What I said was "Look if you're going to keep biting me and messing things up then you will be seeing this ugly side of me more than you want to!" I think it actually got to him. And a small pat/spank on his hiney might help out as well. Just don't hurt him too much. That'd be too cruel.

ok. When he chew, say No very clearly and push him away. Repeat many times so that he understands.
When he jumps on people, just ignore it and show no expression. He just wanna please, but when got no response he will eventually rid the habit.
about licking means they're friends. if not ur cat won't allow it to happen. Hope you find this useful.

Get a spray bottle and have a mixture of vinegar and water. They don't like to be sprayed or the smell. After a little while he should behave. Yelling is not required--ok Especially like a Marine Sergeant... The vinegar odor will dissapate but your place will smell a little like and italian diner. Might make your dog smell good...Instead of doggy...

consistancy is the key. You need to make the rules clear and dont ever bend the rules. You also need to make sure everyone in the family knows the rules and enforces them. It simply wont work if you are being consistant, then your partner/children encourage the behaviour your trying to control
