Casio Z75 or Z1050 is a great choice, nice and thin, lightweight, shoots photos and video with sound. Easy to use controls and a 2.5" screen to view.

Recommend a Scandisk memory card, about 2GB.
Check you Sunday paper for ad sales or coupons.

I'm very un-tech, but I've had no problem with my new camera. We got a Kodak EasyShare c850. It's over 8megapixels (which I understand is good photo resolution) and has all the features you seem to want. Instead of a card that plugs into the computer, it has a usb cord that you plug in from the computer to the camera, but you can also get a card to put in it for extra memory, and that little card you can put in the photo machine at Walmart or whereever so you can develop your pictures.

It's a good camera, it was chosen as a Consumer Reports Best Buy, and for around $250 it was a really good deal.
