oone except geniuses would know you were doing it? And how would you handle the ones who figured that out?

I believe my daughter is doing this, and I don't see a way to stop her. She is allergic to cats and she owns an exotic cat in her trailer and is breathing unfiltered dander into her lungs in quantities great enough that I feel my breathing strained when I go over there! What can I do?

She uses the prescribed medicines to keep herself from coughing as much, but they are masking the problem, the cat!

If she wants to die, why is she still seeking treatment? Is this to mask her suicide attempt?

Why did you have to be so cryptic? I did not really understand the question and problem.

You want to stop your daughter from committing suicide? Or do you just want to poison her cats so that she can't live with them anymore?

If your daughter has been diagnosed with this stage breast cancer, she is entitled to make choices in her life which bring her comfort, which obviously include the company of her cat.

If the problem with cat fur and dander is this great, why haven't you volunteered to thoroughly clean her home, or arranged someone else to do so?

Perhaps even arrange for a professional pet care person to regularly wash the cat?

This way she gets to enjoy the companionship without the allergy being as problematic.

If I were trying to commit suicide, with the drugs prescribed for me during my cancer treatment, this is the last way I would choose to try killing myself!

Do you want to know how to make yourself die? I would just stop eating and drinking and you will die within a few weeks-naturally. If she has the illness you say, why don't you let her be. People are really selfish about others who are terminally ill. They want the poor person to stay alive as long as possible regardless of the pain and misery it causes because they feel that everyone should embrace life no matter what the cost. There comes a time when you should just let them go.

If she is allergic to her cat, yet has been living with it, it is not likely that she will go into anaphylactic shock and suffocate. As far as the suicide question, there are lots of ways, but I will not share any of those with you. I am sorry for your, and your daughter's pain. You can always fool her and get her out of the house, then take the cat away, but perhaps she needs that companionship and the loss of it would be traumatic. Best wishes.

I can understand the situation you are in, others should be too.

I know you are looking out for your daughter, and I'm sure it really has nothing to do with the cat except that you are worried that she is purposely trying to kill herself. I can understand you wanting to protect her and keep her in life for as long as possible. but, maybe she isn't doing this purposely, maybe she really loves cats and thinks that now is the time for her to do all that she enjoys, weather it's good for her or not.

My heart goes out to you, she needs to enjoy life right now as much as she can.

and yes, humans are selfish (I sure as heck didn't want to let go of my dad either, who would want to let go of a loved one?! Easy words to speak, and yet the hardest thing to do)

huh, I think some people with a terminal illness do more things they ordinarily wouldn't do even though they might be dangerous. It may not mean she is intensionally trying to commit suicide.
