We bought it about 2 months ago and it is fine, but it has a mind of its own. It is in a zipped-up cover which we just washed. Before we washed it, the whole topper used to slide UP the bed about 4" every night - now it slides DOWN the bed the same distance!!

Any answers?

Well, we had the exact same problem and solved it using a novel idea...

Futons slip and slide too... so what we did for the topper is to buy the black material that goes under a futon to keep it from slipping. You'll find this at any futon store. It's inexpensive and it works, since it's made especially for heavy items.

Those rubber mat things don't work. They are not made for heavy stuff and they just wrinkle and the topper still slides.

Yep... get yourself a futon thingy...sorry, don't know what it's called, but it works.

This might be a long shot but, There's this product made by MANCO it's actually used as placemats and shelf lining it's like a rubber and maybe if you laid that down inbetween the topper/mattress that would keep it from sliding around.. They (manco) also make it large enough to hold rugs to bare floors... However, I think if you buy 2-4 placemat sized pieces and put them in the corners of the bed that would keep things from sliding around.... Or buy a cover big enough to enclose your mattress/topper that would do it as well... Good luck

You can try sheet holders.
They look like the old style garter belt snaps.
They clip on each corner and wrap around the mattress itself.
You can find them in the bedding section of Walmart, or a linen store.
We have one on our son's bed and this is what I use.

I'd use a rug liner. They're made to keep throw rugs from skidding and should work fine for a mattress. They come in many sizes and you can cut it to fit.

My mother-in-law uses a small piece of one under a box of tissues on the dashboard of her car to keep it from slipping all over the place. And, I use a piece of one under the foot pedal of my sewing machine to keep it from slipping.

Here's a website that sells them if you can't find them locally.
