There are those who believe using any living creature for any reason is wrong. There are those who believe that all living creatures are open to exploitation of all kinds. Between these extremes is a vast ocean of opinion, all of which have positives and negatives and none of which has exclusive possession of the truth. The same is true of sport hunting. It cannot be one extreme or the other.

So very wrong! I hate fox hunting in particular, its cruel and inhumane. How can they call themselves 'gentlemen'? They are the real animals!
And to OldGuy63 below this post - our country is over-populated with humans, humans spread disease as well - can we shoot them too? No of course we can't, but its perfectly ok if its animals.
I just hope the people in your area do the slaughtering in a humane way.

Nothing wrong with it unless their numbers are dropping. If we didn't hunt for sport in this area certain animals would overrun the area and disease caused by them would increase significantly.

I don't see how anyone can enjoy killing. In this rural area that I live in it is nothing unusual during deer hunting season to see pictures of young teen /pre teen boys and girls in the local news paper with pictures of their 'first kill' Quite disturbing to me.

Although I personally do not enjoy killing animals, we buy game from auctions and stock game farms. Then wealthy Americans and Germans come to kill them for a hefty fee. This supports many local livelihoods. So, mmm. Its ok if it is properly managed.

If by "for sport"you mean strictly for the trophy or rack,I say wrong. If one eats his kill,I see no problem. There are many hunters who view it as "sport" but eat whatever they kill, that is OK to me.To kill an animal needlessly, like the Ivory poachers who kill the elephants just for the tusks, shouldn't be tolerated."eat what you kill" and I have no problem

very, very wrong. Animals are just one step below humans, and how do we know how close emotionall, mentally they are really. I would never kill an innocent animal for sport. Would you tell your pet dog to start running and kill him with a gun just for the fun of it?
