If you are worried that wearing an apron makes you look feminine you can always wear a more masculine apron, you know the kind that goes over your head and covers your chest and below the waist with a very masculine color.
besides the purpose of an apron is to protect your clothes from getting dirty...and if you are guy who can cook i think your parents would be proud of you rather than displeased.

are you wearing anything else besides the apron? if not, maybe I'd be nervous, too...
on a more serious note: I suppose you wear your apron for cooking and other household chores and there is absolutely nothing wrong with protecting your good clothes with an apron; also, maybe you have already seen your mother or even father wearing an apron (kitchen, bbq, gardening...), so I don't see any reason why you should be nervous 'being caught' wearing an apron!

I am reallly not sure about your concern about your apron. Do you like to wear it? If so wear it while your parents are around. It just something to protect your clothes. I really think its no big deal!

I don't think you should be worried, if they don't accept it just explain that you wanted to keep your clothes nice and if they do then you are fine but if there are... other reasons you are wearing the apron then just be frank with them as they are your parents and they should accept you as you are!!

why should it matter?
It's PART of cooking. It's no different then any cooking utensil. It keeps the food OFF of you and can prevent burns as well.
