Atheists are always questioning the existance of god and jesus and whether or not the bible is true, but christians automatically state that Atheists are wrong, and sinful. You christians seem to forget to question your beliefs.

Can you ever forget about religion for awhile? Maybe accept everyone else as people? Trust me, I am accepting you christians as people, I just don't see why you shouldn't accept me because I am not religious.

If you are religious and do what my question asks, then move on and continue to be blind by religion. But hopefully, you have thought about things, and can come up with a nice answer.

That works both ways - Why do atheists assume that Christians are automatically wrong?

And why do you assume that Christians have never researched their religion or put it to the test?

Have Christians missed some irrefutable evidence that they are wrong - please enlighten us as to what that might be?

The Christians I know welcome questions from atheists, are always willing to look at any evidence an atheist can give against Christianity, and can give atheists well thought out logical reasons why they believe in Christianity.

What is wrong with that?

What I too often see is an atheist attacking Christian beliefs without explaining how and why he thinks they are wrong and very rarely does he offer a better alternative or any verifiable evidence for his negative point of view.

To "SS", what age is the Rosetta stone? How was it dated? Where in the Bible does it give the date civilisation was wiped out?

To "Everard G", who says Christians only obey God because they fear the consequences, what is wrong with that? If the only reason you don't take poison, jump off a bridge, walk into a burning building or shoot yourself in the head is fear of the consequences - is that a bad thing? Should we ridicule you for that? Also what evidence do you have that atheists are better because you don't have to threaten them to make them toe the line - they do it voluntarily because they are nice people. So the police and criminal justice system only exists to deal with fallen Christians? There are no atheists in jail? No atheist murderers, robbers, rapists because atheists are automatically nice and wouldn't do anything like that??

In the bible, it says that Man was made in God's image. If God does not exist, why are humans so much different than animals? Why can we do math and spell and hug and kiss and speak and cry? Why do we know so much more than every other mammal? We are different because God made us in his image. If there were no God, there truly would be no difference between man and any other mammal, we'd just be another animal.

As a Christian I learned to appreciate God and give praise to him...I get upset when people question God's existance because it shows that you dont appreciate my God. It gets a little personal. Many things from the bible have been proven to be true...how much more do you expect? It was a long time ago and no one will ever be able to find "enough" evidence to PROVE Gods existance. It requires Faith. What I don't understand is why faithless people always complain about Christians....aren't there alot more religions other than Christianity you could try to find errors in?

Why do you assume that Christians are wrong? I have dated an atheists, and was friends with a pagan, and one night as we where setting and talking, the pagan asked the atheists why it was a sin for Cane to kill Abel, when at that time there was no law against murder. So the atheists went home and studied his "Christian Bible" and come back the next night to report his findings, which were: "it was a sin because he was his brother's keeper." Now can you tell me why an atheists would have a Christian bible in his home, and more so why he would believe and testify to what it said?

First, I am not a Christian.

The only disagreement I have with an atheist is that they do not belive in any deity, and I as a polytheist do believe in the existance of deities.

That being said however, I tend to determine how I feel about a person by that person's actions. If an atheist does not tell me that I am being stupid for believing, I will not have any problems accepting them into any part of my life other than the religious (which they would -- by definition not be interested in anyway)

Because I believe in God & Jesus then of course I assume Athiests are wrong.
Having said that I understand why they don't believe , many bad things have been done and said by so called christians and their churches.
Also the faith doesn't always reach the heart of all people.
I respect athiests you have your beliefs and I have mine.
Lets hope that this little difference don't stop us from being friends.

I, as an atheist, do feel that there is a possibility that Jesus actually existed. But that doesn't mean I believe in a supernatural being. Christians feel that atheists are wrong in the same way as atheists feel Christians are wrong.

Atheists automatically assume that Christians are wrong and stupid.
I don't know how you can ask this question given that Atheists have absolutely no respect for beliefs that differ from thier own, acusing believers of being mentally ill or brainwashed.

It's interesting seeing xians talk about trusting bible, loving Jesus, loving God and all that other silly stuff when we all know WHY they love their Interesting Invisible Sky Thingy.
It's cos they FEAR what'll happen if they don't.
No xian will ever convince me that's not the reason.

If the xian 'god' didn't threaten them with HELL and if they didn't tow the line, xians would be an evil bunch of critters cos they only behave cos they have this threat hanging over their head.
Atheists on the other hand are nice people without any threats to 'keep them in line'.

Who are the 'better' people.
The ones who are nice only because of the threat?
OR
Those who do not acknowledge the threat?

Who would you trust?
The one who only responds to a threat of hell for eternity or the one who doesn’t believe in such childish things?

As I understand it, Atheists do not question the existence of God--they wholly belief that he does not exist. Agnostics question God's existence.

And I feel that I accomplish a whole lot more if I just tell people what I think and believe. If I ask what they believe and then tell them about my beliefs, I may in their mind be telling them that they're wrong; if I don't know in advance what they believe, they have the option to question me rather than me questioning them. People are more comfortable with this.

And we accept you as people. And those of us who are mature in our faith are so because we question it daily.

"Atheists are always questioning the existence of god and Jesus and whether or not the bible is true". Ha you mean, "Atheists are always denying the existence of god and Jesus and declaring the bible is false"
