I make my decisions on employability based on factors other than religion.
I have worked with Christians who had wonderful work ethics and Christians that should have been fired for laziness or dishonesty. The same applies to Jews, Muslims and Pagans.
If the person was qualified and with a good work ethic, I see no problem with hiring the best person -- Christian or not.

I don't see how you can say that Ashcroft is representative of all Christians seeing that the guy is just generally a scum bag.

Of the Christians I have worked with; they have demonstrated an ability to work without placing their religious practices before their jobs.. There have been few exceptions, but it is rare. It seems to be quite different with people in power though, such people need not be in office.
