Thing is, it isn't just a matter of believing. There is a whole list of baggage that goes along with believing. It as though, beating down a child's natural skepticism with fear inspiring stories is the first stage of indoctrination. Then comes the promise of eternal life if people do as they are told and the very important promise that evil people will be punished.
Once this level of delusion has been achieved, they are ready to be controlled as desired and milked for all they've got just like thoughtless cattle.

A personal testimony of God is when God touches you in a way that you know for a fact he exists. There is no possible way you can ever prove that event took place to anyone else, nor could you ever prove God exists to anyone else. You claim you have never experienced this so you dont believe in God. That is fine for you. But are you so arrogant to be able to proclaim that you know for a fact that it has never happened to anyone else? You have no clue what other people have experienced in their lives. If millions and millions around the world, no billions even, claim to have had personal revelation of Gods existance then why are they the ones that have to get real? How can you ever prove them wrong? Who are you to tell people what is real if its based on something you yourself have never experienced?

Sometimes we intelligently infer things that we cannot detect with our senses, such as emotions, subjective opinions, etc...
It's called deductive reasoning--a very easy model for it is the criminal investigation. You have a photograph, a hair sample, and a bullet, and you use these pieces of evidence to identify a C-store robber. You never experienced the robber commit the robbery, but you deduce that he did based on the evidence that you can measure with your five senses.

While I agree that belief in the supernatural is rather misguided, "Why cant people get real and stop believing in things they cant see, touch, smell, hear, nor feel." doesn't quite cover it.
I can't see atoms but I know they are there.

I can't say that I do believe in Ghosts, BUT if a ghost started haunting your, and proved to you that it was a ghost, would you then believe in God?
Just curious. Not trying to convince you either way, since I am not convinced.

The answer is FEAR. Religious leaders put fear in their followers to keep the money coming in. As for ghosts, it's a drawback from the religion.

Do you touch, see , smelll, hear,or feel the wind?? yet you see the results of the wind, so it is with God.
He is real, you see his handiwork, everywhere. Satan believes & trembles & he does all he can to convince you God does not exist, for he knows his "final destination" & he wants to take you with him.
Don't fall for his lies, God is still on the throne.
Please take him now as your personal saviour, feel free to e-mail me, if you want to know more.
I care.
