I think Senator Craig is still a fine individual who possibly could be gay or maybe he was hiding in the closet due to his position. I don't think he is a bad person and I think he did a fine job representing Idaho if this was an average joe it wouldn't have even made the press.
I also Feel the arresting officer set him up and still unclear about what happened? Didn't he put his hand up or under the stale? We have forgiven Bill Clinton I think we could forgive the Senator!! What happens when this man wants to move on with his life. Are we going to shame him for life and how many politicians have been involved in other scandals.
I am personally disgusted as to what they have done to him

I think the only thing the Senator is guilty of is being stupid and pleading guilty without an attorney.
Looking at what evidence there was, he would have had the case dismissed. He never spoke to the undercover cop, and the so called signals don't mean anything.
If the Senator was horny, and wanted sex, he should just do what most people do, use Craigslist.org

The police were ASKED to stake out the restroom because of a history of problems and complaints in there. And vice cops don't do murders and bank robberies. It is there job (or at least a beat rotation) to go after VICE activity, that includes sex.

Do you know how many kids get molested by strangers in bathrooms? Bathrooms are hang out for gays and normal people are complaining across the country. I am glad the police were there. Yeah, they catch muderers bank robbers and sexual diviants in public bathrooms. Don't blame this on the police.

I agree with you on it being a waste of the police departments time. However, I believe that since he put himself into this situation, Senator Craig should have the sense to resign for being "ignorant in public."

The problem is that the man is a hypocrite. He supported every single piece of anti-gay legislation that went through the Senate, and opposed every piece of pro-gay legislation. He never shut up about "family values."

It is a terrible scenario, and I have no idea why he pled guilty if he was innocent of the crime. Did he not think that having a criminal record would hurt him? I believe he probably is gay, but this is just my opinion after learning about what happened.

I agree. If the guy is doing his job, I could give less than a rats *** about his sexual kinks. I would not resign. I would tell them to all to go stick it.
