These are some of the symptoms of rabies. You need to see a vet right away to have the dog evaluated for your own safety.
He could also have some sort of a blockage or even a cancer or poisoning. You need a vet.

Thee are many reasons your dog may be sickly. Ingested poison, bad tooth, parvo. As many others have said you NEED to get him to the vet ASAFP!!
But what you need to do even before taking him to the vet is get some pepto bismol and gatorade/pedialyte. Get a needle less syringe and force the electrolytes and pepto down him every 15-20 minutes for at least the next 24 hours. IF he has parvo THIS WILL HELP! But the sooner you can get the dog to the vet the better. I have a black lab and if that was going on with him and the only vet was in hell itself... I'd have him there.

You mean you have let it go to the point that he has lost weight? You need to take him to a vet right away.He could have a bad tooth,a sore throat or something lodged in his esophagus that's impairing his ability to swallow.I hope he he vaccinated, because he could also have rabies. You need to take him to a vet right away,or if you're going to let him just lay there and get weaker and weaker, surrender him to a shelter or Lab rescue group! I honestly don't know why some people get dogs just to let them suffer!
I don't know why people are saying parvo. The main symptoms for parvo are bloody diarrhea and vomiting, not drooling.

I think you need to take him to the vet. He might have eaten something that is poisonous like a plant or some chemical. Has he been like this for awhile? If so I would say that you should take him as soon as possible. If he did eat something poisonous you need to get him seen ASAP because if you wait too long it might be too late. Since this is affecting his diet the sooner he is seen the better. I hope he is okay and that my answer has helped. Good Luck and God Bless! Please let me know what happens and how he's doing.

there are so many causes-intestinal blockage, tooth problems, parvo, poisoning from either nature like spade foot toads, man made poisons like antifreeze or rat poison. He really needs to see at vet to narrow down the symptoms and prescribe medication or treatment

Have you had your dog treated for parvo, becuase this seems to be parvovirus that your lab has gotten, you need to get him to the vet to take care of this, it can kill some dogs in lesss than 24 hrs, Vet is extremely recommended
