someone asked me for a an abridged version lol. So much for using our brains to do our own thinking huh?
and a Lawler is LOL+er. keep up with the times old man

Well here is fun fact! Darwin admitted that, "If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed, which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down."

(Charles Darwin, "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life," 1859, p. 162.)

Well I bet your asking gee has that been found? Well either it has been found or Molecular Biology is what you guys calls a "Pseudo-Science". Another interesting fact scientist's in Darwin's time thought the cell was just basically a hunk of Jello. They thought they were geniuses back then!

Had Darwin the knowledge or access to current technology his assumptions would have been different.... Based on the knowledge of Darwin he would have been disproved..... (only of his theorys) Why Then do we teach our children false science????? Think ABOUT IT!

bRILLIANCE DOESNT NECESARILY PROVE INTELEGENCE......Theory is and will continue to be theory

Stick a huge bacteria colony into an observable environment with a little bit of penicillin. Watch as most of the bacteria gets killed while some survive. Those that survived will regenerate the bacteria colony and you will find that they are now resistant to penicillin.

That's evolution right there. Darwin was around over 100 years ago and we made progress. Now we know what cells do and we also came to understand that those numerous, successive, slight modifications were able to make complex life forms. We also found the existence of DNA which pretty much proved his theories. That's right, the idea of evolution came before the discovery of DNA and genetic mixing.

Progress is such a wonderful thing. I'm sorry too see that you're not making much of it.

Oh,I'm pretty up with the times. I just don't care to waste my time learning to speak illiter-net for some dude who never realized that Darwin's theory of evolution had nothing to do with Atheism or really, any other "Theism". It was biology, not theology. To pick the theory of evolution as a subject to pick apart to make points about God's existence, is a to pick as random a subject as what you ate for breakfast this morning.

I've never met or read anything by single person who proclaimed "God doesn't exist because of evolution" other than christians, who-without actually *asking* an atheist-, try to claim that this is what atheists think.
You claim you like to think for yourself, yet you still don't seem to realize you can attach whatever supernatural presence that you want to as the creator of the evolution process, and it causes no difference in the theory at all. I happen to have known plenty of people who were even Christian, and believed that it was the Christian God started and planned the process we call evolution. How do you like them apples?

Since Darwin, we invented the motor, steel, refrigerator, computer came a hundred years after him. Darwin wrote that 150 years ago. Give the man a little credit. We made a lot of advances since 1859. I would say he was right on point when he wrote his book. His book is a testament to Religion's inability to admit when it is wrong because 100 years before him they told Galileo that the Sun revolved around the Earth.

And if we were playing "God Vs. Darwin: Who's YOUR Man?" your statements might make some kind of sense.

But in the real world, I don't need Darwin or anyone else to not believe in God. I can look out a window and not hallucinate an old man flying in the clouds, smiting the wicked and making you cupcakes. Keep up with the world outside your computer, little boy.

curious to know what this complex organ is that molecular biologists have found. michael behe notwithstanding, i suspect that many molecular biologists would disagree with the notion that it 'could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications'. shouldn't the abridged version make me want to read the longer version? it just makes me think you're another liar for god. dime a dozen here, boring.

strange how you promised to show that atheism is silly, but ended up talking about something rather different (evolution). where's that evidence for god you guys keep promising?

Although this is a science/biology question, I can't help wondering why you don't actually *name* this complex organism that you say disproves Darwin's theory?

Furthermore, your citation that science constantly updates it's own theories is correct That's how science works. Well done.

the quoted sentence you used is a conditional one meaning that it couldn't be done in his day.... And no one since then has either, so it kind of strengthens the opposite position you are taking. IE: his theory HAS withstood the test of time.

Adaptation and evolution are different. Although one is part of another. Evolution is a very long process, and difficult to comprehend. Kind of like eternity.

You do understand that the discovery of DNA basically proved Darwin and Mendell's theories as correct, right?

Show us this complex organ that you claim exists, and then we'll talk.

Your understanding of biology is the LAWLER here.
