That's like saying "Tell me about Calculus... but don't use any of those fancy equations!"

When we ask questions about Christianity, we are asking real "people," not show-offs who think they're all that and a bottle o' pop just because they can memorize stuff.

When we ask questions about Christianity, we want it in English, not silly bible-eze.

When we ask questions about Christianity, we are probably one of those people who don't believe the bible is anything more than a book full of old myths and legends passed down from goat herder to goat boy. If someone asks why people in Jesus' day washed other people's feet with their hair ... we don't want you to fly off into a hearty rendition of Rapunzel either.

When we ask questions about Christianity, we expect an answer from someone who actually has a clue and an answer and not just a reference link.

If a human wants to know what Jesus taught, its best to ask Jesus!

This is possible, but humans are carrying around so much intellectual trash, the intelligence gets in the way.

We are living in a era when humans want first hand information, not what may or may not be factual interpretations of religious text that in most cases creates doubt.

The Holy Bible is full of beautiful passages, yet humans are a little short on the wisdom to understand what is actually being taught within them.

Preach to the world but show some patience with respect to humans that are not ready for the verbal entourage.

And above all, teach and preach by example!
Thats what Christ did!
And as far as the Holy Bible containing everything that Jesus taught, "it's not all right there"!

Therein lies the problem.

When someone asks for proof, and the ONLY source is the bible, then that source is suspect. Add to this, the fact that the bible, gospels included, has been proven to be hearsay, and not eyewitness accounts, and the credibility drops even lower (courts don't allow hearsay evidence either). The evidence should be available in the world, not just the bible (and for the record, the bible claiming that the world is it's evidence is just circular reasoning.). Furthermore, the bible holds so many contradictions and interpretations, that it is impossible to logically determine what, if any, actual spiritual truths it holds.

If you want to prove creation (just for example) then go somewhere other than Genesis. Produce empirical evidence showing that man, as he exists today, sprang from dust and word, not the product of evolution.

Because the bible is outdated. It was written thousands of years ago and for that reason alone, does not contain any of the science we know today. Why does'nt the bible mention dinosaurs, cavemen, other planets, and for that matter, The catholic church claimed that the Sun revolved around the Earth and in hte year 1996, they finally apologized and angloliged that the Earth revolved around the sun. There are many other countless examples.

Some people don't want to take the time to read the Bible.
Others think that by reading through it once that they know it all and don't need the verses pointed out. I for one like to have a verse pointed out because it may be one that I haven't focused on yet!!

Entirely incorrect.

The only gospel believed to be remotely what Jesus truly taught is called "The Gospel of St. Thomas" which ISN'T in the Bible. I suggest you look it up.

Fact of the matter is, the gospels were written way after Jesus lived. And for you to actually say you know with 100 percent certainty that its EXACTLY what Jesus taught would be completely opinion based, and not fact based.

It's your opinion that Jesus' teaching is in the bible, but there are opposing views on this, and the evidence against it is slowly mounting. Bible no longer has the monopoly on Jesus.

by using bible verses you are basically saying "I have no opinion of my own" so "let me tell you what the bible says about it." And by not thinking for yourself you have become brainwashed. All my thoughts, ideas, and beliefs are my own, no one has told me what to believe.

Edit: Also christians aren't the only ones who can uses Bible verses, non-christians can too.

Because people want to see living examples of Christ, not just head knowledge about Christianity.

From that, I try to follow Christ's example as a result of believing and trusting in Jesus Christ as my Saviour.

Over and out.

Yes, God is good. I love him and want more from him, because he is the lover of my soul. I love you Jesus, and the Holy Bible tells me so everyday and night. I feel him through prayer and he answers my prayers.
