not necessarily. They do not pay off student loans for Officers, and they will only pay off up to $30K in Federal Student loans for enlisted.

Maybe, depends on how large your loans are.

The military does have a College loan repayment program

CLRP

You have the choice of the Gi Bill or the CLRP.

The amount of loans repaid, is different in each service.

The military repays 33 1/3 percent of the outstanding principle balance of the loan annually, or $1,500, whichever is greater, for each year of service.

The Air Force limits repayment to $10,000.

If you choose the CLRP, and after your first enlistment, stay in the military, you can then qualify for the GI Bill.

But you have to have your share of the GI BILL taken out of your paycheck, during your first enlistment.

Also, you must have the CLRP in your contract.

No...What it will do is allow you draw from your G.I. the amount allowable per month up to a certain percentage until you seperate from active duty and you will get the full amount after that. Other than that the only other thing offered is tuition assistance which of course coordinates with courses taken at the time.
