Hi Ramjet! I am an artist (by profession too, or uh - was) . . . so I do (did) a lot of paper crafting. Scrapbooking is one thing I did not get into, but I got into the rubberstamp craze which happened before scrapbooking really took off. I probably have over 10,000 rubber stamps!! I can paper and stamp our place many times over - hee hee!!

I always mean to put stuff in scrapbooks I even bought all the decorative paper, stamps. scissors that cut interesting patterns, stickers, etc.etc.etc. All the photographs and such are still in the basement sorted into plastic bins In folders by year, event and person they belong to.. All the supplies are also in a plastic bin labeled (Scrapbooking Supplies)

Maybe I will one day get all the bits to meet and create fantastic off-spring

In the meantime I congratulate myself for my filing system as it will be greatly useful should the day ever come when all the bits meet LOL

I know it's a pipedream it's all gonna be in filing boxes until my kids divide my stuff when I die LOL

Hi, I'm Bella and I'm a scrap-aholic!

Paper
Pages
Layout
Die-Cuts
Paper Piercings
Ribbons
Special Silicon Scissors
Little hammer to apply the eyelets
Calligraphy pens

Oh....how the list could go on!

It's so bad, that one year my husband made me a "Happy Birthday" page for my book.
It was soooo precious! He took the time to find the pictures he wanted and to crop and 'paste' the photos. He used die cuts... the whole 9 yards. It was special.....

But..I couldn't help it, eventually, it began to consume me, I started to sweat and my breathing became labored. I had to know!!!

DID HE USE ACID FREE/ LIGNIN FREE PAPER?????

LOL

EDIT: Gritastic ... "I think of it as an activity for soccer moms and extra scary nice women." lol... I am a soccer mom!!!

EDIT 2: Eagle Woman ... I'm recovering. Didn't take much. After my last kid, I haven't the time anymore. I 'sobered' up quick!

I was content to store many pictures in boxes and put my favorites in regular photo albums. I was waiting in the car with my granddaghter while my sister was in a store in a little strip mall. There was a store called Scrapaganza, and I had no idea what we were walking into, but we had some time to kill. We walked in, and I thought my artistic little girl was going to faint. It was a scrapping shop, with a work area in the back, and every theme you can imagine, including horses. I dropped a fortune in there, and she still wants to go back. She has little cowgirl boots, hats, prairie paper, range and mountain paper, scissors and all the trimmings. We also had to find a "Daddy's Girl" heading for all of the pictures she has with her daddy and I had to take more pictures of her on her horse with her wearing "I am a Daddy's Girl" tee shirt. I am afraid I am about to embark on a new journey. I am looking for a tee shirt for her that says "My Mimi is a Fool for Me." She already has one with a horse on the front, and on the back it says, "I Came, I Saw, I Cried, I Got."

Edit: After seeing Bella's post, I am going to ask her to stay away from my grandddaughter until she is on the road to recovery in a 12 Step program. Bella, not my girl.

I don't do scrapbooking, but I do card-making, and the stuff is taking over the house! Paper, card, peel-offs etc lol

I am into the opposite of scrapbooking. I have at least 5 boxes full of pictures still in their envelopes spanning a period of about 13 years :p

LOL, Slave. I'm a man too and very into sewing. Even have a very expensive Embroidery sewing machine (Janome 2400). Have never been into scrap book type stuff though. But I DO love to sew and make all sorts of stuff for my altar and even some cool clothing as well.

I love scrapbooking--and cardmaking!! I don't do it as often as I'd like to though--I hate getting everything out & set up, and then having to clean up the mess. When I work on pages/books, I have stuff everywhere! LOL But I have tons of supplies! Maybe I SHOULD paper my house? hee hee

Oh, yes, I love it!! I love to see what other people do, that`s what I mean. :) I suffer from a lethal combination of laziness, impatience and inability that prevents me from even thinking about doing it myself. :)

But I do have so much paper that I could paper my house over 17 times. :)

I'm so mean.

I do not like scrapbooking. In fact, I loathe it. I think of it as an activity for soccer moms and extra scary nice women.

I know I'm going to offend some of the people I really like on here, so please, please don't take it personally. I'm sure some of my interests and habits carry a negative perception for you as well.
