Do I say Company ABC (now Company CBA), or Company ABC (acquired by Company CBA), or another way? What's the standard way of wording this?

Company ABC (now Company XYZ) - that's the easiest way. If the interviewer is curious, they will ask.

Company ABC (now company CBA). No need to explain the hows or whys unless your interviewer asks.

No real standard wording - either of your examples is fine.
